The EM10 Hot Shoe Microphone for Samsung NX20/210/1000 Cameras from Samsung is a featherweight (1.65 oz) microphone that mounts on the hot shoe of a Samsung NX-series camera. This very useful accessory includes a windscreen to reduce noise from wind when shooting video outdoors. The mic has a Wide mode and a Zoom mode. The Wide mode records a broad area in stereo. The Zoom mode records a more narrow area in mono to eliminate background noise and to isolate a desired sound source. A status lamp indicates Record or Standby. No power supply is needed, as the microphone is powered by the camera through the hot shoe. A camera firmware update is required to use this mic.
