SHOPPING AND ORDERING ON LINE

Shopping at B&H web site is like shopping at the B&H mail-order desk - just a whole lot easier. Explore the bhphotovideo.com easy-to-use web site and when you are ready, be assured that ordering on-line is secure and easy.

Browse the departments or use advanced Search to find what you want. Remember that if you should have trouble finding an item, just click "Live Assistance" or call.

If you are interested in purchasing an item, click on the "Buy" or "Add to Cart" button. The item will be placed in your shopping cart. You can return to your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the My-cart link at the top of every page. The quantity, description, stock availability, and price of each item in your cart will be displayed, along with required and recommended accessory items, when appropriate. You can adjust the quantity, or remove an item at any time.

To make your purchase, enter the desired amount in the box labeled *Qty, and click the "Buy" button. You can change the items and quantities in your cart at any time, until you complete your shipping and billing information and receive an order confirmation number.

When you change the items or quantities in your cart, your total cost will be updated automatically. To remove items from your cart, click the "remove" button. One cart is all you need for shopping at all our departments. Select as many products as you want. You can get the shipping and handling fee for the items in your cart at Any time by providing your USA zip code or destination country, if out of the USA .

When you finish shopping, you will be given the option of logging-in or registering by entering your log-in name and password for easy, secure on-line ordering. If this is your first time shopping at the B&H web site, you will be asked to fill in some basic information.

Register

By choosing to register at B&H web site (optional), you establish a unique log-in and password. After entering your password:

  1. You can check the status of multiple orders on-line, with full security, by logging in and clicking the "Track" button.

  2. You can add items to your shopping cart, browse the web, and return later to resume shopping. Your cart information is retained - even if you need to exit your browser - until your order is placed or canceled.

  3. You can update your account information any time.

  4. Add items to your wish list. The wish list allows you to create a list of items that you may want to purchase in the future.

Please note that you do not need to register in order to use our site or to place an order. However, by choosing to do so, you will be able to take advantage of the benefits we will be adding as we continue to develop our site.

Email Address / Password


In order to register at B&H your e-mail address and a password (which you create) are required. Your password can be any combination of letters or numbers, either Upper case or lower case. The Password can be 6 to 15 characters.

If you are a first time mail order or on-line customer, or if you are using a new or different credit card for the first time at B&H, upon completing your on-line order, you will be asked to fax or upload a copy of both sides of your credit card. Please include the invoice number (that you will get when completing your order) along with the copy of your card. Your card will be charged & the merchandise committed upon submission of your order.

If you have previously ordered online or by phone/fax with this credit card and it is already on file, no fax is required. (Note: If you have ordered before, the only way the web site system can recognize you as a repeat customer is if you use exactly the same name, address and phone number information. Any variation will cause the web site to conclude that you're a first time customer and hold the order pending receipt of the fax.)

Verification

Some orders are subject to B&H's Verification procedure which means that, for your protection from credit card fraud or identity theft, we may ask you to verify that you're the card owner or that the order and ship-to information is legitimate. This process rarely delays an order, and generally requires either a simple call-back (which can be done after business hours) or a fax. If your order requires Verification, we will advise you by phone or e-mail. This is why it's important that you leave both day and home phone numbers when ordering and that you keep your information current.

It is also important that you understand what we mean by bill-to information. The bill-to address is the address to which your bank mails your monthly credit card statement. The bill-to address you give us must agree with the address that the bank which issued your credit card has on file. Please be sure you provide the correct information, even if the items are to be shipped to a different location. We regret that this is necessary, but it is designed to protect the card owner as well as the retailer.
