The new 16.3-megapixel Pentax K-5 II DSLR camera will replace the current Pentax K-5 in Pentax’s DSLR lineup. It features a 16.3-megapixel CMOS image sensor with integrated AD conversion circuitry, which works with Pentax’s PRIME II Imaging Engine to deliver high-resolution, rich-gradation digital images.

The Zacuto Z-Finder is an auxiliary optical viewfinder that is specially designed for working with an HDSLR, or photographing in live view mode on your DSLR. These viewfinders encompass the LCD monitor on the rear of your camera, allowing you a clear, shaded view of your screen while working.

The K-30 is Pentax’s newest endeavor in the DSLR market and features a familiar set of specifications, while improving upon functionality and overall efficiency. Pentax has also announced a new medium-telephoto-length 50mm f/1.8 prime lens.

Sony has just announced two new digital cameras: a DSLR and a compact interchangeable-lens camera that both continue to push the envelope in regard to how small a DSLR is or how powerful a smaller camera can be. 

Even though the Canon EOS 5D Mark III is only a couple of months old, its functionality and usability are still being expanded upon with the release of the version 1.1.2 firmware update. The new firmware makes this full-frame workhorse compatible with the new Canon GP-E2 GPS Receiver, as well as fixing a few minor bugs.
