Mac

2012 was an incredibly busy and prosperous year for Apple. We saw totally new designs for both computers and mobile devices, and updates to nearly every product line.

Many students, artists and creative professionals have a strong taste for everything Apple. The Mac computer brand is more a lifestyle than a mere product. People use Mac computers because they are configured to perform in a manner that enhances creativity.

Remember when Mac computers only had USB 2.0 ports? Well, now that the 2012 MacBook Air and Pro models include USB 3.0 ports, your choice is no longer limited to just USB 2.0 or Thunderbolt external hard drives, which usually have a huge disparity in terms of storage space and price.

Since standing the world on its head with the release of the iPhone and iPad, Apple has been slowly moving towards integrating features from these portable computing and Smartphone devices with the company’s desktop computers.

Today at the WWDC 2012 conference in San Francisco, Apple announced updates across the board for its popular MacBook Air and MacBook Pro notebook computers. The new machines are faster and more capable than ever before.

With Mother's Day looming just before us, now might be a great time to open your mom's mind to the usefulness and convenience of tablet computing. The iPad is tremendously popular, and an awesome piece of technical goodness to boot. But there are many other tablets to choose from.

Optical discs are read by lasers, and a little scratch or splotch of grease is all it takes to interrupt the reading process. Sometimes you can simply clean or polish a disc and it will work like new.

The three-dimensional images captured by a Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 Digital Camera are best appreciated when the camera is attached by HDMI cable to a 3D TV viewed with LCD shutter glasses, but what if you want to see the pictures on a computer while you’re wearing anaglyphic glasses?

Apple’s iPad is almost always thought of as a traveling companion. But sometimes you just want the tablet to stay in place: safe in a corner of the kitchen, upright on a desk or at rest against the wall of the larger pad you inhabit. Now, Sanus Systems, a company known for its flat panel TV mounts, has unveiled what it should have named the iHang but instead calls the VisionMount VMA301 iPad mount adapter.

You might want to do this if you have a large collection of still images, songs or video clips and want to compile a list of them in a Word document or Excel chart.
