Olympus has just announced the new E-P5, the fourth generation of their popular PEN series of interchangeable lens mirrorless Micro Four Thirds camera bodies, which features an eye-catching, retro design that’s reminiscent of the original PEN F series from the 1960s and '70s.

Last week a peculiarly shaped device appeared on my desk. It was a compact, solid square box with a rather alien aesthetic, by which I mean it looked like something out of a Star Trek episode. The perfectly square cube was dark gray with long diagonal grooves across its entire surface.

Canon has recently announced three new camcorders. The Canon XA25 and XA20 are ultra-compact, professional camcorders designed for run-and-gun videography and ENG. They feature a 20x zoom lens, built-in Wi-Fi, wireless FTP transfer and dual SD card slots to support a variety of recording modes.
