"Road Ends In Water" is a self published book of photographs chronicling the landscapes and people of the southern lowlands of South Carolina. In his one hour video, Eliot Dudik talks about the inspiration for the project and shares his intriguing images. The second half of the presentation tackles the issue of self publication and promotion.
Editing, sequencing, book design, choice of paper, finding a printer and binder are all discussed along with the use of mock ups to help visualize the project. Dudik also provides insights into why self publish, the various book forms one can choose, along with the advantages and some pitfalls of self publishing. Finally he shares his advice on marketing the end product.
