The title belies the content. Sports Illustrated photographer Damian Strohmeyer has spent twenty-plus years photographing sports for the world's largest sports magazine, everywhere from the frozen tundra of Green Bay's Lambeau Field to The Big House at the University of Michigan, from Fenway Park to Yankee Stadium. And in this ninety-minute presentation, he shares many of those photographs.
But Strohmeyer doesn’t just share them. He talks in great detail about the hows and whens of photographing football, basketball, hockey and the Olympics. He gives pointers on where to take photos, with the aid of stadium plans, and his five pointers for each sport. He talks about the use of remote cameras, how to anticipate peak action; his knowledge of the various sports permeates the entire event.
