New Speaker Docks from Pyle Home

Waking up to an iPad or iPhone has never been sweeter on your eyes and ears than with one of these new speaker dock systems from Pyle Home. The Pyle Home iPad & iPod Desktop 2.1 Channel Speaker Sound Bar System and iPad/iPhone/iPod 2.1 Channel Premium Desktop Speaker + Docking System are both equipped with FM radios and digital clocks. The alarm can be set to radio, music from a docked device or a buzzer. The latter model also lets you awaken to music on a USB device or memory card. Both models allow you to preset 20 FM radio stations and they come with wireless remote controls.

Once you’re up and about, you’ll want to keep your Apple device in dry dock as long as possible to take advantage of these systems’ sumptuous sound. The Sound Bar delivers 250 watts of total power. Dual passive subwoofers enhance the bass. The Desktop Speaker System puts out 200 watts of total power, has a built-in active subwoofer and a 3D acoustic sound effect processor.

The Sound Bar features a bifurcated cylindrical design that nicely balances an inserted iPad or other iOS device. The large digital clock readout below the dock easily allows you to know what the time is without you having to rouse your docked device or buy a watch. Thanks to the dock’s 2.1-amp power supply, your iPad or other iOS device will charge quickly.

The Desktop Speaker System sets an iPad-size dock platform to the speaker’s side. Unlike the Sound Bar, the system contains a USB port and an SD/MMC slot for MP3 playback of a connected device (probably one besides Apple) or a memory card. Also, instead of the Sound Bar’s composite video output for tethering to an external display, the Desktop System features a component video output for passing a 720p signal from your iOS device to an HDTV set.
