Within the past year they have won multiple awards, and they feature WiFi control for up to 512 different panels—quite impressive if you ask me! The lights have super-accurate color that’s good enough to be used on Captain Phillips. And for the DSLR filmmaker, a great small LED panel with some LEE filters and a microphone should be extremely useful. One mount for two important items.
After using Kickstarter to fund the original Capture camera holster system, Peak Design is out with version 2 and a variety of new accessories. This slick new design features a clip that you attach to your belt or another strap, which allows you to quickly snap your camera in and out. The Capture and Capture Pro models can carry your large camera system with ease. And they are compatible with Arca-Swiss and Manfrotto tripods, if you pick certain models.
G-Technology displayed their new G-Drive Slim and Mobile portable hard drives. Both drives offer 1TB capacity and 7200rpm. The Slim connects via USB 3.0 and the Mobile has USB 3.0 and FireWire 800 ports.
The 190XPRO3 has aluminum construction, and extends to 53". The tripod features a Quick Power Lock design that quickly locks the legs into place at four different angles. There's an easy-lock thread designed for sturdy support for flip arms, and a horizontal column that's designed for heavier gear and rotates a full 360º. The tripod is easy to carry with motorcycle-style grips.
Lexar showed the Workflow Reader, a modular card reader that accommodates any combination of CF, SD/SDHC/SDXC, and QXD cards simultaneously via removable bays. The device attaches via USB 3.0, and can transfer in batches without sacrificing speed. It's also powered by its USB connection, and can fit into most gadget bags.
