15 Mouthwatering Food Photographers to Follow on Instagram
by Jill Waterman · Posted 07/19/2021
Typing #food into Instagram's search bar returns more than 450 million posts, making the search for food photographers on this social platform somewhat akin to "shooting fish in a barrel." Yet, while the number of followers to the most popular feeds surpasses the million mark, when it comes to the topic of food, it's a common occurrence for cookbook authors, recipe creators, food stylists, and celebrity chefs to add the term "photographer" to their skill set, thereby magnifying the popularity of this flavorful subject. To assemble this current

12 Photography-Centric New Year's Resolutions
by Todd Vorenkamp · Posted 01/01/2020
New Year’s resolutions: We all know them as thoughts about positive changes that we wish to enact in the new year, and we are also aware that many do not survive through the end of the professional football season. Diets and exercise all seem like grand ideas with which to spring into the new calendar year, but, often, the road to summer swimsuit bodies is paved with the best of intentions. In the spirit of the season, let me share with you my (too personal?) photography-centric New Year’s resolutions. Maybe my personal goals/confessional

Road's End Workshop, with Paige and Corey: Travel Log No. 3
by Paige Denkin · Posted 09/27/2019
Our last travel log had us heading to Nevada (or California, depending on which side of state line you’re visiting when in South Lake Tahoe). I’m glad we were able to cross this one off the bucket list because Lake Tahoe was far more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Fair warning, though! As relatively new trailer owners, we were pretty nervous driving those roads to the top. Some switchbacks were dangerously tight for us and our almost 30-foot rig, but we made it and paid for a camp spot among the trees in South Lake Tahoe. South Lake

19 Travel Photographers to Follow on Instagram
by Jill Waterman · Posted 06/27/2016
The theme of travel is infectious on Instagram, given the more than 100 million posts boasting a “#travel” hashtag. And things get decidedly more complicated from there, since the American spelling of traveler/traveling, and the British spelling with double l’s yield similarly stratospheric figures. Not to mention numbers for synonyms such as #adventure, #voyage, and #wanderlust. Given such volume, compiling a list of top Instagram travel shooters is a task not to be taken lightly. This current selection melds my personal tastes with tips from

Thoughts on Instagram, from the Mind of Chris Buck
by Eric Reichbaum · Posted 03/25/2014
Chris Buck is a photographer known mostly for his portraiture, in which he brings a unique and distinctive style to each of his images, and unsurprisingly, he’s brought this sense of invention to Instagram. Buck was kind enough to share his thoughts with us on what he once referred to as a “mix of photos of lunch, ironic landscapes, and Holga-filtered observations of everyday life.”   Joaquin
