Adobe Launches a Full Update to Its Creative Suite

Adobe announced upgrades all across the board in the form of its Creative Suite software products for Mac and Windows, which feature loads of different programs designed for none other than creatives.

Mamiya Leaf Credo Digital Camera Backs Feature Touchscreens

Mamiya Leaf announced their new Credo medium format camera backs this week. The backs are available with either 40MP, 60MP or 80MP sensors, and feature a bunch of new tricks.

First off, they are USB 3.0- and Firewire 800-compatible—which means a lot in the studio. But one of their biggest features is the fact that their screens are entirely touch-sensitive. In fact, they are likened to the iPhone and iPad.

While those are all well and good, one of the biggest concerns of the audience targeted by these backs, is image quality. Indeed, the company claims around 12 stops of dynamic range.

Pricing for the Leaf Credo 40 starts at € 14,995/$19,495. The Leaf Credo 60 is listed at €24,995/$32,495 and the Leaf Credo 80 for € 29,995/$38,995. Shipping is planned for June, 2012.

Canon 5D Mk III Light Leak Addressed by the Company

Consumers were complaining about a metering problem with the Canon 5D Mk III for quite a while. The company looked into the issue after it was noted and shown off in various forums around the internet.

After analysis, they issued a product advisory this week. According to SLR Lounge, Canon was able to replicate and identify the problem with light from the LCD screen leaking into the meter, thereby throwing it off in the automatic modes such as aperture priority.

Canon stated that they will provide a free inspection of affected cameras.

Fujifilm's New X Pro 1 Firmware Update Silences Aperture Noise

There was an annoying issue with Fujifilm's brand new flagship S-series camera, the X Pro 1. Users complained of a phenomenon where the lens aperture would click loudly when the light in an area changed.

According to Steve Huff, Fujifilm has addressed the issue in their latest firmware update.

It appeared to fix much more than that though—they also addressed parallax compensation not working in some instances, and a few other performance tweaks were added.

Flickr Has a New Uploader

A couple of new updates came to Flickr this week, too! This follows up on the news that the company is trying to roll out new changes, and comes after their new photo display.

One of the biggest new features is the fact that you can upload files of up to 50MB in size if you're a pro user, and 30MB if you're a free user.

Another addition is simpler implementation of titles, tags, and descriptions of photos in sets.
