PhotoPlus 2013: 3 Legged Thing
Perhaps the first thing you notice about 3 Legged Thing's tripods are their smooth carbon and colorful accents. But their versatility is just as nice. A single tripod can be used for macro photography just inches from the ground, or for reaching new heights and getting that wide shot from above. There’s a reason these were used at the London Olympics.
The coolest new thing is the cage, which isn't yet in production. It holds an SLR and accessories—perfect for the video shooter. Otherwise, their super lightweight monopods feature quick twist-lock mechanisms for adjusting them to whatever your situation requires. And the light carbon build is very, very well implemented. I would feel comfortable carrying even their largest tripod all day.
