When I was a communications student back in college, the first thing I said when my professor put professional gear in front of me was, "Oooooooo, toys!" That is how many students at the New York Film Academy reacted recently when the B&H EDU Advantage Team visited to show the future filmmakers some tools of the trade.
In this edition of Meet B&H, we're looking at the Binocular and Scopes department—the other long lenses. On the showroom floor, we have loads of these optics for you to play with. If you have questions, our B&H experts will answer them for you and help you to make an informed decision. Click the Read and Discuss button for a photo tour of this special place in our home.
Today, we are proud to announce the winner of the B&H Photo Flickr Street Photography contest sponsored by Leica. Throughout a very long judging process, the social media team here at B&H viewed lots of great submissions. In the end, Flickr user Louster will be receiving the Leica D-LUX 5 for his photo Centennial Olympic Park. Congratulations to Louster, and kudos to all of you for giving us one of the longest and toughest decisions to make.
For those of you that have never visited the B&H SuperStore, you're in luck. Each week we'll feature photos of a different department or section in order for you to get to know us a bit better. This week, we are showing off the Pro Video Counter located on the first floor. The Pro Video counter features a slew of camcorders on display for you to test out. This, combined with the friendly aid of our experts, helps you make the right choice.
We've got a special treat for you this week: a Street Photography edition of the featured Flickr Photos. If you aren't part of the group already, you should probably join. Afterall, you can win a Leica D-LUX 5 in our contest sponsored by Leica. For more details you can go here. First though, see if you made the cut this week.
