What about heat issues that plague dSLR sensors when recording video for extended periods?
the heat issues DSLR's have aren't from the sensors overheating, but the cards overheating as they were designed to shoot stills and were not expected to be handling the constant 42 mb/s streams that shooting video demands (I think this is one of the reason P2 and SxS flash cards cost so much, they can deal with the high bit rate and not overheat) This camera shoots AVCHD which is a lower bit rate, and doesn't have the overheating problems.
