Removing Incorrect Eye Color Brought to You by KelbyTraining and B&H Photo

In this quick tutorial video, the experts over at KelbyTraining.com show you how to correct eye color in Adobe Photoshop CS 5. Have you ever photographed someone with an on camera flash and gotten some red eye? Red eye happens when direct flash is used—and often happens with just snapshots from a point-and-shoot. We've all seen these photos on Facebook when our friends take photos of their cat or dog and post them.  Using some of the powerful tools in Photoshop, you'll learn more than one way to get rid of red eye that you may not have even thought of or knew about.

Take a look at the video after hitting the read and discuss button and for more in-depth training please visit Kelbytraining.com. They also have full one day seminars at Kelbytraininglive.com

Google + for Photographers: Is it Worth It?

Take a look at the major stories in tech new these days and you'll see that Google + is all over it. The service, which is currently on an invite only basis, is looking to become the next big thing in the social media world—looking to rival the current king: Facebook! Many photographers already have a presence on Facebook (both personal and business) so is Google Plus really worth your effort?

Meet B&H: The Camera Bag Isles

Camera bags are items that not only safeguard our tried and true gear, but they're also items that we can't have enough of. As a guy that owns six of them himself, I can attest to this statement. On the second floor of the B&H SuperStore, we have isles of camera bags on display for visitors to try for themselves. Whether you're the backpack lover or want a messenger bag, you're bound to find the right choice for you here.

Begin your tour of the camera bag isles after clicking read and discuss.

Finding Gems Once Lost

In today's world of large-capacity memory cards, we tend to snap the shutter button more liberally than in generations previous. Our archives fill up quickly, and we forget about the images that we've shot. Upon registering for 500px.com, I read about their emphasis on including only your best work. Since it was a whole new start for me after having been on Flickr for a while, I booted up the external hard drives in a quest to find hidden gems.

The B&H Event Space Takes a Field Trip to the Brooklyn Bridge!

The Brooklyn Bridge—perhaps one of the most iconic and photogenic bridges in NYC, was the location of a recent photo walk/safari hosted by the B&H Event Space. Comprised of seven different way points spread across the general area of the bridge, the event was swarmed by attendees all across the bridge—even on the cloudy day!

Meet B&H: The Pro Audio Department

The Pro Audio section of the B&H SuperStore comprises almost a quarter of the first floor. In this area, customers can peruse keyboards, speakers, a DJ area, electronic drums, Apple Mac Pro workstations, software, and even a soundproof booth with microphones. The audiophile, sound technician, musician, or gear enthusiast will be dazed by all of the audio equipment surrounding them—which they can play with, too!

Take a look at our photo tour of the Pro Audio section, and listen to some rockin' tunes while you're doing so.

Hands on: DeluxGear Lens Guard

The DeluxGear Lens Guard provides extra protection for your lenses, in the form of a giant body cap. There are photographers that say, justifiably, that their lenses are the most important part of their gear. Their lenses mean the world to them. When you place your lenses in your camera bag, lens wraps can provide some level of extra protection. However, if your bag doesn't have lots of padding, you may end up feeling that they're a bit unprotected.

The Olympus E-P3 Review: Retro, Gorgeous and Powerful

The Olympus E-P3 (also known as the Olympus PEN, EP3 and EP-3) is the company's new flagship Micro Four Thirds camera, and offers a mountain of new changes and upgrades over the previous models. Have you ever had upgrader's envy? Most photographers often feel the need to upgrade when a brand new camera (or the successor to theirs) is announced. If you're already invested into the system, this may be the camera that you'll want to take a closer look at. If not, then perhaps you'll fancy the new 12mm f/2.0.

A Fisheye for the Frugal

Recently, we posted the Rokinon 8mm F/3.5 on our Facebook page and you excitedly demanded samples. You asked for it, and you've got it! These images were shot on the Canon 40D while having some quick hands on time with the lens.

We're curious to know your thoughts on the samples, so feel free to let us know in the comments below.

Worth Its Weight in Gold: The Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95

My first encounter with the legendary Leica Noctilux was about ten years ago, when one of my good friends returned from a holiday in Switzerland with his new Leica M6 and an assortment of Leica lenses—all given to him by his grandfather! Yes, GIVEN! And among those lenses was the Leitz Noctilux f1. I remember seeing those first images Michael shot on his new M6, wide open, with the Noctilux, and I remember thinking, "My goodness, I couldn't care less if there's no actual point of focus in the image!" The way that Noctilux rendered was just breathtaking.
