About me

I have a B.Sc. in Image Science from Westminster University. First after my education I ran the photographic department at the National Hospital in Iceland. Few years later I started my own professional processing lab, which later became "The Professional lab" in Iceland.

I turned digital first 1992 and in 1995 I sold my lab and turned totally digital. I spent 10 years on scanning and asset management of image libraries in Iceland and trying to implement modern DAM solutions into the Icelandic society.

2008 I decided to make a 15 year old dream come through and founded FocusOnNature - International Photography Workshops in Iceland run by renown instructors. And I do not regret that.

Through the program I have made very good contact with many people in the field, both software and hardware manufacturers as well as renown instructors and dedicated participants. FocusOnNature is a private operation and I enlist the best locals to work with. It is a program I run my way in a golden blend of work-win-fun.

I thought classes at the Reykjavik Technical Collage for over 20 years, but today I run my own seminars program for the locals, where each seminar is on a very narrow subject studied in depth.
