How does the overall picture quality of this lens compare to the 35mm f1.8 Z lens?
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens (Nikon Z) has more rounded and larger out-of-focus background highlights than the Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S Lens. The 1.4 lens is better in low light and has a narrower depth of field as well. The downside is that the 1.4 lens is not part of the Nikon S series of lenses, so it is not as sharp and shows slightly more chromatic aberration.
