Functionality
  • Back up critical data stored on NVMe SSDs and ensure efficient recovery in the event of drive failure or data loss.
  • Streamline the deployment of identical system configurations by creating exact copies of a configured NVMe drive.
  • Upgrade or replace an M.2 NVMe SSD by duplicating the existing drive contents to a new drive, eliminating time consuming data transfers and reinstallations.
Standalone M.2 Duplicator
Clone or duplicate M.2 NVMe solid-state drives (SSDs) without the need for a computer. With high performance sector-by-sector duplication rates of up to 90GB per minute, you'll be able to work with most file formats and copy entire drives.
M.2 Drive Dock
A 20 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 host connection enables external access and storage functionality for M.2 NVMe drives, facilitating data transfers between different computers without the need to install the drives internally.
Compact and User Friendly
The duplicator's small form factor requires minimal desktop or storage space, while multiple LEDs indicators display power, progress, and SMART status. There is also an audible buzzer that confirms duplication completion, while active and passive cooling help ensure optimal performance.
Compatibility
No drivers or software are required. The top-loading (toaster style) design ensures PCIe M.2 drives (M-Key) will fit, even those with preinstalled heat sinks. 4Kn sector size is supported, and the target disk must be equal to or larger than the source disk.
Applications
This item can be used as a standalone solution for cloning M.2 NVMe drives without using computer resources. It is well suited for data backups, hardware upgrades, IT system imaging and support tasks, routine maintenance, educational environments, and more.

Awesome way to upgrade your SSD. Last time I upgraded my laptop M.2 Boot drive, it took 3 days and 4 different software titles. Experimenting with enclosures and drives to find something that plays well together. Not anymore! Pop in the New target drive then add the source drive and clone away. Done in less than an hour. Also serves as a dock to add two more M.2 Drives or to transfer files. Thanks to the incredible staff at B&H for their guidance and support before the purchase. Ask me questions I hadn’t considered to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed.Oddly enough they also made sure I didn’t spend more than I needed to by offering alternatives in several price ranges. Great customer service and support from a knowledgeable staff that doesn’t talk down to you or try and upsell you. That’s why they have been my go to for many years. Thanks, Sanford

My source drive has B+M keys, and the target drive has only an M key. Both are the same size. Will it duplicate?
Asked by: Walker
B+M keyed drives can be M.2 SATA drives instead of M.2 NVMe. If the B+M keyed drive is M.2 SATA, this will not work. This duplicator supports M.2 NVMe drives only. However, if both drives are M.2 NVMe, I would expect this to work. Adam, StarTech.com Support
