    easyCover ECC5D3B Reviews

Silicone Protection Cover for Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5DS & 5DS R (Black) is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, not great First, it was difficult to put on, not sure if there was a step by step process to make it easier because no instructions were included. The openings to access the card, battery, and video cable slots is a bit of a pain because the case gets in the way. Make sure to know each of the buttons on your camera by memory. The opening on the bottom of the case is not a good fit, and neither is the opening for the flash boot. I was hoping for better protection of my Canon 5D M3 when I take my grandson on rides where water could possibly get on my camera. At least it will protect it mostly from scratches to retain its resale value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits nice and snug. Precise cut Precisely cut and good quality, easy to put on. Note you can use this with a manfrotto quick release system ( or any other quick release system) you just have to cut a small portion of the easy cover at the bottom. Don't worry it will hold to the camera equally as well even if you cut a bit. I cut out a bit of the material at the bottom so that my Manfrotto QR would sit perfectly flat against the bottom of the camera. I am sure it would be the same story for an extended battery pack as well. Like the way this cover makes my camera look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as I hoped The item fits pretty well, was easy to put on the camera, but my biggest complaint is that without some modification (cutting away at the bottom) my VCG cannot screw in completely and make contact with the operation pins. The buttons are much harder to depress, as one would imagine, but if depression divots were added, this could be alleviated. I am still considering returning them (I purchased one for my 6D also), but I am one who will keep something just in case it ever comes in handy (like at a beach or on vacation). I would definitely not use this on a daily basis, as it takes away many convenience factors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Silicone Skin for Canon EOS 5D Mark III I recently bought my Canon EOS 5D Mark III. I wanted something to protect my Canon DSLR. My 5D Mark III is a large camera and my hands get tired from lugging it around on a recent trip through Greece and Turkey. The size of 5D Mark III makes it difficult to handle and I thought the silicone skin would help with the gripping. The skin only increased the camera size. If you have big hands I don't think it would be an issue. In addition, the shutter button can be depressed half way for auto-focus. The extra silicone skin just makes it more difficult to make fine distinction in pressue exerted on the controls. With time and practice it may not be an issue. The skin also blocks the USB connector when I download images to my computer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from doesn't work if battery pack attached I am a professional photographer and we have several of these bodies felt a different color cover would make it easier to assign cameras - we ordered 9 of these and received right away. Good construction, fits well, feels nice, easy to grip, not slick. The only problem was we use battery packs on each of our units and this won't fit right unless it can snug under the body of the camera. This is too big of a gap to use the battery pack. So, while they are a nice product and would work beautifully for those not using a battery pack, we found them to not be what we wanted.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Camera Protection without the good grip Purchased two for the MkIII's .Very Happy with the protection it gave...BUT...if you go strapless and use spider belt the overall handling was too slippery. The handling didn't feel right either as a result as the natural Canon exterior had more grip. The product needs definitely more grip. The result being is that I never use the product now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ehhh, there are some benefits but not very impressed! It fits the camera well and covers a reasonable part of it, but there are many open areas that dust would still get in and get all over. I mainly wanted this to protect against dust as I shoot in dusty environments and wanted additional protection. However I don't think this gives as much as I had hoped. the bottom is completely open as there is just not enough elasticity around the bottom to make a descent seal so lots of dust will get in that way. Is it better than nothing? For sure, but not clear if it is going to be worth the expense and having a somewhat clumsy skin over all buttons. Also it does not have as much grip as the bare body has so that's another (minor) disadvantage. Personally I don't think I would buy again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from MMM-maybe not, but what are the options? I have Snug-it products on 4 cameras. This is my first experience with easyCover, which seems to be a replacement product for B & H (there seem to be very few Snug-It products currently available), so if you wish a neoprene cover for your camera, this is it. I have it on a 5D Mk IV. The bad: not a great fit. I had to trim the area around the memory card cover to be able to open and close it without binding, and the lens opening is much more oblong than round, so getting the lens on is more of a juggling act than in the past. And note one difference from the Snug-It: the actuator button is no longer covered, and the opening is awkward and poorly manufactured. The cover tends to sag open at the bottom of the camera. The OK: it still protects your camera, and given the amount of time I spend banging around with the camera body, it is effective. However, this product is overall disappointing, as it is clearly not the same quality as its predecessor. If you wish to form your own opinion of the comparison, have a look at the photos. I hope to be able to find a better replacement product at some point in future, but will keep this for now, as it seems to be pretty much my only option.

It does fit mk IV but it is not 100% with missing a new button and slightly looser fit. When do you expect to have a dedicated 5d mk IV skin from EasyCover in stock?
    Asked by: Szymon G.
easyCover's website states that the cover for the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV will be designed and are expected near the end of 2016. However, as of the date of this response, easyCover's website shows their website was updated November 2016 and the easyCover camera case for the Canon 5D Mark IV is not yet listed. The best I can say is to either periodically check our website for an update to our inventory status, or contact the manufacturer directly to inquire if they have an updated estimate on the availability of the cover for your camera.

Does this cover work with the Canon BG-E11 Battery Grip?
    Asked by: Gary B.
I have not used with the battery grip but it appears it would and most certainly could easily be altered if necessaryI love the extra protection when traveling, in rough areas or in the rain

Does this fit the 5d mk 4 ?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Don't know about Mark IV but it fits Mark III without the additional battery grip - with the grip it gets distorted but still just about works.

Will this easyCover silicone camera cover fit over a Canon 5D Mark III with a Really Right Stuff L-bracket attached?
    Asked by: Charles G.
Hi Charles,I am very satisfied with the cover! But I do not have the L bracket. I think it is worth the try, you can easily cut away some parts if necessary.Best regards,Eva
