    easyCover ECND810C Reviews

Silicone Protection Cover for Nikon D810 (Camouflage) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good The case is not too difficult to put on, but a little work is required. It really does not allow you to use the plastic screen cover that comes along with the camera. Another con is that the cut-outs for the shutter speed dial, and aperture dial are very thin and it makes it very difficult to rotate them due to the small space. Also, there is no white dot on the case, so it makes it a little more difficult to line up the lens dot on the camera to connect them. Otherwise, the case does fit well, and seems to do its job. If those few things were corrected, this case would receive a 5 star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits my D810 like a glove I had one on my D800 and it let me retain more resale value. They fit great, protect the camera, and keep you from wearing the paint off of the focus button (for back-button focusers). The picture (as of this review) on the website is of the D800 model. The D810 model has a cutout for the microphone, shows the D810 logo, covers the AE-L button and has a bigger opening for the memory card door. (Feel free to use the attached pictures-with my compliments, B&H)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits well on my Nikon 810. Fits well and protects vulnerable areas of the camera body. The covered buttons all function easily. I believe it will add some dust and dirt protection to the covered buttons as well. The cover changes the shape of the grip slightly and the silicone finish is a bit slippery so the camera will not hang on your fingers as well if you carry the camera with your right hand at your side. The item is new as of this review and the grip may become stickier with wear. It is easily put on and taken off the camera to meet your needs. I am happy with the product and would recommend it if you carry your camera around your neck where it could easily bump into obstacles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good camera protection product This product does a good job protecting your camera from scrapes and dings. My only problem with it is using the back button for focus; I prefer to focus with the AF-ON option. I think I just need to get used to pressing the button a little harder. Other than that, I'm very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent housing for getting noticed I usually put this skin when going for people places (meetings, partying, team-building) It fits well, looks nice, and allows all usual maneuvring. Tripod mount is not easy to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not buy this again The thickness of the material coupled with the small size of the openings makes it very hard to move the controls. Pushing the buttons is also difficult as the material is too thick. To use this I will have to modify the case. by enlarging the openings to make better access to the controls and buttons

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad I was surprised at how well it works. All button function work well. The lever for A or M focus is covered over a little. Does not fit with an L bracket installed. Had to do a little trimming with a razor blade and it fits good. I am a little rough with my camera and this is what the Dr ordered.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK if you need it If you intend to be in a poor environment with your camera, this may make sense. I had previous experience with these and didn't like them, but... when you need it, it makes sense. They fit fairly tight, and makes accessing some controls (Main control dial, on/off switch) a little more awkward, but it's not a show-stopper. For me, the worst aspect are the button-covers. Although they are indented with an icon or letters, they are totally unreadable. So, for example, although the Magnify button (middle on the left) has a magnifying glass embedded in the rubber button cover, it's virtually impossible to identify (black on black). It's especially a problem if you use 2 different bodies (with different buttons - wouldn't it be nice if Nikon kept the buttons the same on all bodies??) I had to buy a white permanent marker and highlight the icons (there are 22 of them). But, the permanent marker will rub-off very quickly, so I ended up putting a small smear of silicone seal over the icons. It looks ugly, but hopefully the cover will protect my camera that I'll be using in a somewhat-bad environment.

Can this be used with the extra battery on the bottom?
    Asked by: GEORGE M.
The bottom of this cover is open as that is how you slide it onto the camera body. I am not certain the battery pack will work if you want it to protect the battery pack also. If you are not worried about the battery pack, I think it's possible to use it and the worse case scenario is you might have to do a little trimming of the silicone cover. Sorry I can't give you a definitive answer. I may be adding a battery pack to mine so I guess I will find out myself soon enough.

How easily is the cover used in conjunction with the accessory rubber eyecup on the Nikon D810?
    Asked by: Matthew C.
Absolutely no problem. What I have done, I unscrewed the rubber eye cup afterwards applying the camera cover, then screwed the rubber eye cup back on its place. It took less than 3 minutes.

Can this cover be used with L bracket on D810?
    Asked by: Daesuk James
I don't have a L bracket either. Looking at the images in Google, I would say you better try it before you buy, if you have that option. Even 1 or 2mm can cause the bracket not to fit nicely.
