The Gefen HD Digital Signage Media Player is used to schedule and play back digital-signage content on both analog and digital displays. Its HDMI, component, and composite outputs (with separate analog and digital audio outputs) can be used simultaneously. This player's network connectivity (via Ethernet port) enables you to push content to the unit using a computer and an FTP client program. Multiple Digital Signage Media Players can be scheduled to pull content from a local or external FTP server.

The player can output up to 1080p HD video and more than 20 audio and video formats/codecs are supported. Its output resolutions are composite 480i and 576i, component 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, and HDMI 720p, 1080i, and 1080p (all NTSC/PAL). It's capable of acting as both an FTP client and server, with live logging of playback, system, and uploaded content statistics. Use any text-based editing program to create and maintain the player's directory and file structure.

The included downloadable CMS (content management software) provides multiple-player management, giving you access to all of your units' logs, schedules, content, and playlists. The player can be set to access an external NTP server for precise time synchronization.

The unit has two USB 2.0 ports for connecting to the included USB flash drive or to an external hard drive. Other features include a wall-mountable, heat-dissipating housing, a PIN code for display security, and an IR remote control.
