    Apogee Electronics MIC Reviews

MiC Studio Quality USB Microphone is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid little mic This mic surpassed what I I expected from a $200 mic. What it has going for it is, of course, it's size and convenience. The setup is super-quick. I love not having to deal with an additional interface. It means I can be more spontaneous when it comes to getting ideas and sketches recorded. Sound-wise, I think this mic does what a lot of modern mics do: hype the top end. The result is bright sounding tracks that lack depth. And if you record instruments with decent bass you might have some issues.. Nit picking aside, I don't think there's currently another usb mic on the market that can touch this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice sound quality This Microphone takes no knowledge to use, and results in very nice, clear quality for voice and acoustic guitar recording. I use it with Garage band. I like the little tripod. I constructed my own pop filter using a coat hanger & an old golf putting ring and stocking - I'd say you MUST have a pop filter if you are singing. The LED light for level indicator is very useful for letting you know the mic is activated. I would recommend this to music and tech friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mic I have tried I mostly record as a hobby. I do voice, guitar, and banjo, and I make videos as part of taking lessons online. This mic was a simple plug and play for my iPhone. The gain wheel on the mic worked great, no fussing. The sound is simply spectacular for a USB mic, even for something as piercing as a banjo. The only drawback for me is that the mic is so good I now have to up my recording skills to meet it. If you have an iPhone/iPad, then yes, this does live up to the hype.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What else do you need? So far I've used this to record my classical guitar while I work on various style of African guitar playing. I use Garageband on my iPhone and MiC works great it. (and every other recording app)I've also used it to do some simple field recording of my band playing- also works well! The gain dial is simple to adjust. Just crank it up and then slowly dial it back until you stop seeing red. It's compact but well built and sturdy. The tripod that ships with it is a _little_ chintzy, but more than capable of dealing with the weight of the MiC.Very happy with this purchase. Rated 5 out of 5 by from An USB mic can save a voice over artist I'm a voice over artist and sometimes I have to do some recordings outside my studio (like, during a trip, for example). This mic + iphone or and ipad can work really nice for this purppose; it's easy to use and extremelly lightweighted, so I'd definitelly recommend it for solo voice artist to have it in parallel with the real studio. The only bad thing is that it only works for Apple devices and tha it doen's work for ipods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get it Everything about this little device is a win; the sound quality is stellar, the size is incredibly convenient and the construction looks robust. The ease of use could not be simpler; plug it in, adjust the gain, hit record.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best MiC Yet I am a composer and the fastest way for me to record my songs is through my iPhone 4s (i currently have an iPhone 5 and still waiting for a good adapter to buy), and this mic works just great. It makes my guitar and voice sound so good that makes the whole song just neat and good. I recommend this product to every musician and composer out there!
