In addition to its performance and robust design, its capacity of 4TB makes this drive well suited for heavy workload environments, cloud storage, RAID arrays, external storage arrays, date warehousing, and mining applications.
This WD Re Datacenter drive operates using a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, a 64MB cache, and a rotational speed of 7200 rpm, all of which help to ensure uninterrupted data transfers with a sustained rate of up to 171 MB/s. It is also equipped with vibration protection, Dual Actuator technology, StableTrac technology, a multi-axis shock sensor, TLER technology, NoTouch Ramp Load technology, dynamic fly height technology, and dual processors. To further help ensure reliable operations, a thermal extended burn-in test is performed.
