The D-444 Low Glow Infrared Game Camera from Moultrie is a trail camera that is designed to capture clear photos and video of wildlife with its 8MP CMOS image sensor. It has a passive infrared motion sensor that triggers the shutter to take a photo or start recording video at 640 x 480 resolution and 24 fps. Trigger speed is less than 1 sec. Illumination is provided by the built-in Low Glow 26-LED flash, which has an effective range of up to 80' at night. The camera is capable of time-lapse photography and can shoot at up to 3 fps. It's equipped with a small LCD text screen for menu navigation. Phase of the moon, temperature, time and date are stamped onto your images. The D-444 records files to an SD or SDHC memory card up to 32GB in capacity and runs on six C-cell alkaline batteries (not included).
At the heart of the camera is a CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 8MP
PIR Motion Sensor
Passive infrared sensor detects the changes in temperature that occur when subjects move and captures images in response. Choose from 15 or 30 sec or 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 min for the delay setting
Capture movies in 640 x 480 resolution @ 24 fps. Video length is 5, 15 or 30 sec during the day and 20 sec at night
Illuminate subjects with the built-in Low Glow 26-LED flash, which has an effective range of up to 80' at night
The camera captures a series of images at specified intervals of 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 sec or 2 or 5 min twice per day, and then combines them to create a time lapse video, which is viewable on the downloadable Plot Stalker software. The first of the time lapse images is captured 15 min before sunrise, and the second series ends 15 min after sunset. The camera can still be motion-triggered to take photos under certain settings while in time lapse mode. Time lapse duration can be set to 1, 2, 3 or 4 hr
Hybrid Cam Mode
The camera operates in time lapse mode during the day and switches to motion detect mode 30 min after dusk
Can shoot at up to 3 fps or capture up to 4 shots in a 1-2 sec sequence
Small text screen for menu navigation
Date, Time and Temperature Stamp
The camera records the date and time of capture on your images, as well as the temperature at that time
Moon Phase Stamp
The camera stores moon phase data on its internal memory chip. By recording the phase of the moon at the time of capture on your photo, it allows you to see which animals are inactive during a full or nearly-full moon--when the brighter lighting conditions will make them more visible to predators. Moon phase also helps you determine if brighter or darker backgrounds in your images are due to the fullness of the moon
