The backpack has a Hideaway Tripod Holder that secures a tripod or monopod to the backpack, a built-in All Weather Cover, and Hypalon attachment loops for SlipLock compatible products. It is carried by a carry handle, contoured backpack straps with back pad for added comfort and to wick away moisture, and a mesh covered padded waist belt.
"It's OK...Love it...It is kind of short on the back as the waste belt goes around my mid section (I am 6' 2) but because it is a smaller bag and I do not load a lot of glass in it the placement of the belt is not so much for support at it is for load control and quick swing around access to the bag....This is a perfect bag for stowing camera gear in padded, adjustable compartments (a couple cameras and/or multiple lenses, extra batteries, memory cards, filters, etc), plus it has room for a few personal items, a water bottle or two, and a tripod."See more

"Love it...Love it....I can shove a decent amount of gear in this bag - a Nikon D200 body, a couple large lens, a couple small lens (one in a soft case sitting on top of another lens), a flash head, a Gary Fong lightsphere, and assorted cleaning supplies and spare batteries....I used this bag during a trip to Safari in Africa , I found it comfortable backpack , it fit with Canon EOS 5D MIII attached with EF 70-200 mm F/2.8 L IS & EF 100-400 mm F/4.5-6.3 L IS , & some Accessaries , except the speed light , it attached with backpack ."See more

The pack is carried by a handle or backpack harness straps. There is an Innovative strap management system that eliminates messy, hanging straps.
"Love it....Good bag...Outside of those small issues it was great loved the the reinforced zippers as well as the additional padding for back support the durable bottom is a great feature allowing the bag to stand upright te only thing u could add to the bag is a rain cover and it would be perfect....As for the side zippered pocket, I would've liked it to have been a bit roomier or have an expandable flap like the one the front of the bag has to fit a small umbrella or drink bottle."See more

"love it...Nice bag...So if you ever have it in the rain you can pull it out, and it conforms to the shape of the bag and covers it perfectly, also a trick I learned, was when you need to set the bag down on something wet like snow, or just wet ground, take the rain cover out, and instead of putting it over the top to cover the whole bag, put it around the bottom so you can set it down and keep it dry....I absolutely love this backpack but I was a little upset when I went to use it in the rain and the rain cover ripped in two places on the elastic edge but it still seems to stay in place so overall this backpack is fabulous it holds my camera along with 3 lenses and various other accessories"See more

"Love It!...Nice bag...I can pack my camera with a few lenses and other gear, even a laptop, and still have a good bit of room for other stuff (like a lunch, a light jacket, water,...)....There are two pockets on top of the flap that fold out for containing two SD cards, which I found quite useful. The top of the bag, you have the pocket that can contain a multitude of items, specifically it has two small pockets for a pen brush, or, well, pens, and other pockets (A mesh and one covered with a flap) that have served me well."See more

"Love it...It is Ok...- I use this as my main bag to carry every pro gear - The most customizable backpack I own and I own a LOT of camera bags - I think my only gripe is the Molle webbing should be spaced to that a useful part isn't in the corner rendering less molle slots to be used on a useable surface....Now the bad news: I bought the ProTactic 450 because it is the only bag I could find that allows me to follow rules of major US airlines for safely taking a Canon EF 500mm f4/L IS II lens, + a DSLR camera, + a laptop as airplane cabin baggage."See more

For the small stuff, inside the front lid you'll find two zippered accessory pockets for cables, filters, cleaning cloths or any other small items you might need. There is a small front zippered compartment for quick access to snacks, ID, cash or keys. No need to delve inside the depths of the bag to grab them. For those long days in the field, there's a mesh water bottle pocket on the side. Located on the lower back of the pack is a zippered pocket for safely storing valuables such as your wallet and passport. The nylon exterior is enhanced by a padded front panel that is bolstered to protect your gear from incidental impact.
The backpack straps are adjustable and supported by a sternum strap for added stability while walking. A top carry handle is for quickly retrieving the pack from the trunk of your car or out of a closet. This very practical pack is backed by Case Logic's 25-year warranty.
"Love it...LOVE IT....For many years, I have been looking for a camera bag that fit the following needs, and have not been able to find one until now: - padded compartments to fit a Canon 5D or 7D size SLR with 24-105mm lens, a 70-200 zoom, large flash, 50mm lens, and other misc items - rear pocket to fit a 14-inch laptop - ability to fit an iPad - be small enough to easily carry around - not cost an arm and a leg The DCB-309 satisfied all those needs....I had not had a microphone so good for my work as a documentalist, I would buy again, it is even very useful and efficient recording the sound using a stick for microphone, highly recommended."See more
"love it...Love IT!...As said in the headline: I love this spacious backpack - it almost seems like a TARDIS, bigger on the inside - it fits my Canon 60D with an attached battery grip, attached zoom lens, and has pockets for at least five more lenses + a flash or just six lenses....I had received one in a special deal when I purchased a D3100 and found it protected the camera very well and allowed for easy carrying and easy access to the camera."See more

The "wow" feature of this bag is that it comes with a removable camera box which, when removed, turns the pack into a full-fledged, empty pack that can be used as a daypack. The camera box comes with a storm flap for protection and two handles for easy removal. Load it beforehand, place it in the pack, and you're off. And, on days when you don't need it, just lift it out and the pack is ready for clothes, books, food, jacket or groceries.
Access is via a top loading zippered opening or its very handy side "hatch" for rapid retrieval of your camera when the shot appears. All the zippers are YKK for added durability. The 2.0 lb pack is comfortable with its adjustable backpack straps. This is an outdoor pack that is prepared for all weather eventualities since it contains Lowepro's All-Weather cover that can be rapidly deployed when the weather turns against you. The Photo Hatchback is made from strong 600D polyester and 210D nylon ripstop polyurethane-a combination made for the outdoor enthusiast. It is backed by Lowepro's lifetime warranty.
"Love it...Good Bag...The compartment for the camera equipment is big enough for maybe a mid-range DSLR fitted with a superzoom lens or a few small primes, or maybe a modest mirrorless camera kit, but it's barely enough for my Nikon D500 and the Sigma 18-35mm (which, comparatively, is about the size of a full-frame body and a 24-70mm)....I will probably buy a bigger version of this backpack for myself and my Nikon gear, which I usually keep in a shoulder bag, from which I normally take the camera and maybe a second lens and leave the rest behind in my truck because a shoulder bag is too awkward to lug through the woods."See more

"Love it...A good buy...I foremost love how ergonomically designed this backpack is: the front pockets are great for small things such as my wallet and pencil case, medium pockets for portable charger/lotion/cell-phone charger, and large pockets for notebooks/books/clothes....best of all it has a good amount of backpack stiffness, so it will stand up by itself and provide for good backsupport."See more

When worn as a traditional backpack, it carries more than its weight in equipment including a 17" (43.2cm) laptop. When worn as a shoulder bag, you have rapid access to your gear through the zippered lower half of the bag. When used as either a left or right sided sling-style bag, the quick access zippered side pockets (on either side) give you even faster access to your equipment. An additional mesh storage pocket is supplied for small accessories.
The bag is essentially divided in half with the top being used for personals and smaller items in their own foam-padded compartment. The lower half is the main compartment where your gear is safely stored within additional foam-padded, adjustable dividers. There's an additional zippered mesh accessory compartment for batteries, media cards, cleaning cloths, pens or even business cards.
Carrying a tripod is no problem since the bag comes with connecting straps on the back that will hold your pod securely. This is a relatively lightweight pack that is functional, durable and flexible for the shooter who likes to be outside and constantly on the move. It's carried by two wide, padded and adjustable shoulder straps that are supported by an adjustable chest strap that helps keep the pack steady and centered on your back. The waist belt is also adjustable and helps prevent the pack from swaying while hiking or climbing. There's a comfortable back pad and easily removable and deployable rain cover for when the weather turns sour. Finally, if you're just trying to get the pack out of your car trunk, Vivitar has added a strong top carry handle.
"Love it...The best...Its has all the same features as in a 17inch laptop compartment and also a lower section to put a DSLR plus 3-4 lenses, plus a tripod holder to attach your tripod, Ive got a 701hdv on 190cx sticks and it fits great, it has a built in foot harness to support the bottom of the tripod in the middle of the bag centering the weight....The rain cover is a huge plus since I do adventure photography and videography, and it is not bad on a hike, although I wouldn't choose this for a long trip."See more

"Love it!...nice bag...I do like the way I need to access the back as it makes it a bit more secure I think, but at the same time it is less secure because when I change lens it exposes everything to anyone around (yep catch 22) Over all it is a great bag and the size is right....The bag fits my 13 MacBook Pro like a glove, and I have really pleased with it so far.The only Con I have is the need to remove the battery pack off of my D700 in order for the camera to fit, but this is really not a big deal as it forces me to remove the grip and the batteries (which I really needed to be doing all along) when storing the camera."See more

"Love it!...Good bag...I think that's more of a personal preference thing and not necessarily a con; for me, I like that the interior is largely open and let's me decide how to pack it....I *love* the look of this bag and its versatility...I used it for several years of a PhD program as a school bag and have more recently been using it as an errands-running and walking-around-the-city bag."See more
