"I like...Nice ....Nice Entry Telephoto...I have not done a whole lot of picture taking with it yet but I have tested it some it is good for fairly long telephoto but not good for long range birding if you are looking to take pictures of birds you need at least 450mm or a 300mm lens on a APS-C sensor camera taking pictures with this lens 55-175mm are tack sharp 175-210mm start getting a tad soft."

"Love it!...GREAT LENS...As most of you realize, when you purchase an entry level style of "kit" zoom lens, you wind up hoping that you get a good copy....All in all, among all of the kit lenses I own from Panasonic, Olympus, Canon EOS M, Samsung NX, and Fuji - this 15-45 XC is the sharpest among them all - not to mention adding even more on the wide end of things."

"Spot On...A beauty...Used for: - Portraits - Weddings - More Weddings - Fun at the Park with the Dogs - Wildlife and Zoo Pictures Things that are Great about this Lens: - Amazing Image Quality - Fast and Accurate Focus in Low Light Conditions - Superb Bokeh at 135mm + - SUPER SHARP wide open Things that aren't so great: - Heavy - Expensive, but WELL Worth it You get an EGO-BOOST holding this lens, if you read a single bad review, know that the problem is not with the lens : )...This is an unbelievable lens but there are a couple drawbacks - more good shots means I spend more time in lightroom trying to decide what to throw away and I really got used to the tripod mount ring on the sigma - better to hold on to by hand and the lens rotates very smoothly with no binding on a tripod/monopod - I'll have no problem living with these deficiencies..."

"sharp !...Dead on...* This lens does not work anyway with the x1.4 canon convertor - they won't connect physically * Lens is so lightweighted long handholdings wont bother you're hands at all and thats a great plus while waiting for some time for the great moving macro shot - moving fish's for me * Lens hood works as expected - attached by rotating on lens and is pretty long when mounted....In usage now for about two weeks, Sharpest and highest contrast lens I have ever used so far - after 50mm 1.4, 16-35 2.8 L II, 90mm TS-E, 70-200mm 2.8L IS.What I particularly like about this lens are three things: Image quality - fantasticIS in angle and positionPrice - low for an L.."

"Spot on...Nice pic...Canon tries to give the consumer a chance to own a relatively inexpensive L lens with this one but they also take away some important features in order to make the lens more affordable... There is no IS (image stabilization) There is a 4.0 fixed aperture opening where it should have been a 2.8 fixed....I've been light painting for about a year now and taking photos for 5 years which is a third of my life, I've been through numerous lenses and seen out the best of them but this has really lived up to it's L lens reputation."
