The unit's output is constantly compared against an internal, temperature-stable reference, providing the stable output required for accurate bench-top audio testing. The PT-AMG1 features two outputs, one balanced (selectable between microphone and line level,) the other unbalanced. The balanced outputs are able to maintain consistent level, regardless of impedance.
The unit operates either from two internal 9V batteries, or from an external power supply. Neither is included. When operated from the batteries, a "Low Battery" LED glows steadily when less than one hour operating time remains.

The NanoLockit lets you generate timecode at all framerates using the built-in Real Time Clock (RTC), or jam-sync other units by feeding in external timecode via the 5-pin LEMO connector. Syncing up is a one button experience as the unit self-configures and the framerate is set automatically when jammed.
Timecode and metadata are transmitted via the proprietary 2.4 GHz, ACN long-range radio network, making the unit compatible with all other ACN Lockit devices. Power is provided externally via the micro-USB port or by the rechargeable battery, which provides 35+ hours of operation on a full charge. With its sturdy aluminum body and locking LEMO connector, the NanoLockit is well equipped to withstand the prolonged rigors of on-set use.

The ST-NG1 produces no repetitive frequency or amplitude pattern, unlike digitally-generated pseudo-random noise generators, which can be decoded and removed by effective intelligence equipment. Limiting circuitry controls extreme peak levels in the audio, while still delivering random variations of at least 20dB.
Four outputs provide a microphone-level and line-level output from each noise source, with separate and independent gain-trimming potentiometers provided. Each output is balanced low-impedance, and may be wired either balanced or unbalanced, and all outputs can be used simultaneously.
