The Canon EOS 6D is a full-frame 20.2MP DSLR offering exceptionally high image quality and detail while providing compatibility and convenience through its design and features. When paired with the powerful DIGIC 5+ image processor and 14-bit A/D conversion, the full-frame sensor is capable of recording vivid imagery with expanded sensitivity up to ISO 102400. The processing power also affords intelligent noise reduction techniques and the ability to record continuous still images at a rate up to 4.5 full resolution fps.

The 6D employs an 11-point autofocus system for acquiring precise focus regardless of the shooting situation, which is further enhanced by a center cross-type focus point for improved low-light focus sensitivity. The iFCL 63-zone dual layer metering sensor also benefits from the autofocus system when making exposure measurements, and analyzes color and luminance values within the scene to determine accurate exposure settings.

Full HD video recording is possible up to 1080/30p in the All I-frame or IPB compression, as well as the standard H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec. When recording HD video, full manual control over exposure and sound is possible, enabling you to take complete control over the final appearance of your movies.

Built-in Wi-Fi and GPS technologies also provide extensive connectivity to the 6D. The built-in Wi-Fi capability allows you to take remote control over the 6D when used in conjunction with the Canon EOS Remote app (available for iOS and Android), as well as instantly share the images from your camera to your phone or to the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY. The GPS receiver will automatically record locational data and embed this information into the metadata of your images, allowing you to geotag your shots and map out where each shot was taken.

The 6D features a smaller form factor compared to other full-frame DSLRs, but still integrates a large 3.0" 1,040K-dot TFT LCD monitor for clear playback and review of your imagery. The construction of the body integrates an aluminum alloy and polycarbonate chassis within a magnesium and polycarbonate shell for durability while still maintaining a lightweight profile.

"I love...love it...This camera is a great value in a fairly high-end camera without paying the much higher cost for the 5D Mark III....I can get shots in a very poorly lit room that are crisp, in focus, and look at pleasing. No camera is perfect, and you'll find higher frames per second in the next body up in the camera line (and you'll literally pay twice as much), but in my experience the best shots are done with your own timing, not the camera's, so this hasn't been a limiting factor for me."

"Enjoy !...LOVE IT!...Great Multi-Use High End Camera...I still give the D850 a 5 star rating - it is a very good camera, and it is a lot more capable than I am at using it, but I do not think that it lives up to the hype of the talking heads - not that any camera actually could."

Now in a smaller, more handheld-friendly form factor, the URSA Mini 4K Digital Cinema Camera from Blackmagic Design can record cinematic images with its Super-35mm 4K, global-shutter sensor with 12 stops of dynamic range. The ergonomic body design is balanced and can be used for many different styles of filmmaking. The EF-Mount is compatible with a plethora of popular lenses, opening different aesthetic options. A rosette on the side of the camera accepts the included side handle, which can control Start/Stop via a LANC connection.

To produce cinematic images, the URSA Mini can record raw sensor data in the CinemaDNG format onto CFast 2.0 memory cards at up to 60 fps. The raw files preserve the full dynamic range and color tonality output from the sensor, so you can have greater control over the look in post-production. However, data-heavy uncompressed raw files aren't always easy to deal with on set, so in addition to uncompressed raw recording, the 4K URSA Mini provides compressed raw recording at a 3:1 compression ratio to save space while retaining post-production flexibility.

The URSA Mini also records UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) and 1080p video using ready-to-edit ProRes files in many different flavors within the 444 and 422 chroma subsampling variations, depending on your workflow. Starting at the high end, UHD footage can be recorded in ProRes 444 XQ at a rate of 312.5 MB/s all the way down to 1080p in a ProRes 422 Proxy file coming in at a relatively paltry 5.6 MB/s data rate. Since the camera accepts dual CFast cards, you can record for long periods of time by having the camera switch cards when one is full.

Power for the URSA Mini can be supplied via a 4-pin XLR jack at the rear of the camera. With an optional plate, the URSA will accept professional V-Mount or Gold Mount batteries on the back. Once connected to power, the URSA can even distribute power through a second 4-pin XLR jack.

"Love it...Love it!...I also really appreciate the upgraded controls on the 80D, which are very similar to other high-end Canon cameras such as the 7D, 5D, 6D, etc....While you can probably get even better low-light performance from a Nikon or Sony mirrorless camera, or a full-frame, if, like me, you are already invested in Canon lenses and aren't quite ready to step up to a full-frame camera, the 80D is a very capable camera."

The waterproof and fogproof housing features a single-piece aluminum maintube with a hard anodized matte black finish. The eyepiece has a quick zoom ring that allows for fast target acquisition. The coarsely knurled zoom ring with a low-profile rib lever provides a fast one-finger adjustment, while windage and elevation turrets have caps and produce audible clicks.

"nice scope...Perfect 1x...I love the shorter length and lighter weight, as the big AR needs the weight reduction, but dang, the high end 7x - 8x power sighting really is a downer....As far as a 1-6x scope, this is just as good as the 1x6 Strike Eagle, but dang, I paid a heck of a lot more for it and I'm not getting my money's worth for the extra dollars."

The Canon EOS C100 Mark II Cinema EOS Camera with Dual Pixel CMOS AF is Canon's updated version of the C100 designed for event videographers, documentarians, and independent filmmakers. It incorporates the continuous autofocus function compatible with all Canon autofocus lenses, using Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology. This new feature provides faster and more accurate autofocusing to assist users when operating with small crews.

The Mark II also adds a variety of upgraded features including face detection AF, MP4 recording, additional frame rates when recording in AVCHD and slow & fast motion options when recording in MP4. The Mark II also has an additional microphone on the camera body for recording sound when the top handle is removed. It incorporates a 3.5" OLED display with increased resolution, and the EVF is now almost twice as large as on the original C100 and tilts as well. The Mark II supports GPS, and features built-in wireless functionality. The HDMI output supports timecode, as does the original C100, but it also supports Canon Log LUT.

The EOS C100 Mark II uses the same Super 35mm Canon CMOS sensor as its big brother, the C300, but uses a Digic DV 4 processor. With an EF lens mount, the camera is compatible with the full range of Canon EF, EF-S, and EF Cinema lenses. This is particularly useful for DSLR shooters who have already invested in Canon lenses. The camera uses the AVCHD codec to record 1080p video up to 24 Mbps. It supports dual SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards which, thanks to the efficient AVCHD codec, allows you to record nearly three hours of HD video on a single 32GB card. For professional applications, you can also record clean, uncompressed 4:2:2 video with embedded timecode via the HDMI output.

The ergonomic design of the EOS C100 Mark II is streamlined to support one-person shoots. Weighing only 2.2 pounds in its basic configuration, the camera's flexible modular design supports a variety of shooting styles. Additional features such as One-Shot AF and Push Auto Iris allow operators to spend less time checking camera settings and more time capturing cinematic footage.

"Love It...I love it....I own a C200, and while it's superior when shooting high-end 12-bit and 4K projects, the C100 Mark II is a far more user-friendly and reliable camera....I will use other cameras as back ups when doing my work, BUT the pleasure and peace of mind knowing you captured everything right the first time on this workhorse of a camera is enough to just forget the hype and minimize files to a very workable size."

The angled-viewing Diamondback 20-60x80 Spotting Scope from Vortex features a large objective lens and specialized optical coatings to provide bright and clear images. All air-to-glass surfaces have Vortex's XR anti-reflective coatings to minimize light loss. Additionally, they are ArmorTek coated for scratch resistance. To ensure accurate color across the entire visible spectrum, the Porro prisms are dielectric coated. These coatings are highly reflective and lose less than 1% of the light that passes through them. This combination of coatings and optics creates a spotting scope that produces bright, clear, highly contrasted images with accurate color transmission.

The high-impact resistant fiberglass-reinforced polymer body is O-ring sealed and nitrogen filled to be water and fogproof. Its focus system features a fine-focus wheel for precise focusing capability and tack-sharp views. The scope has a tripod mounting shoe with a ¼"-20 threaded mount. For comfort and convenience, the tripod collar rotates to permit the eyepiece to be put in the best viewing position. A retractable lens shade keeps the Sun or rain off the objective lens.

"Love it...Love it!!...I can tell what species they are but glass is not high end to where I can see antlers or not....While the scope may not be as high quality as say a razor, its still light enough and clear enough for any mountain."

Consistent with Leica's passion for classic designs mixed with contemporary functionality, the M Monochrom (Typ 246) Digital Rangefinder Camera is a unique digital camera dedicated to producing black and white imagery. Lacking a color filter array, as well as an optical low pass filter, the M Monochrom's full-frame 24MP CMOS sensor records solely in luminance values, forgoing the need for color interpolation, in order to gain the utmost in sharpness, clarity, and resolution. Complementing the imaging capabilities, the Leica Maestro image processor also affords a sensitivity range from ISO 320-25000 as well as a 3 fps shooting rate with a 2GB buffer for recording up to 30 frames in a sequence. Full HD 1080p video recording is also possible in either 24 or 25 fps frame rates. Unique among digital cameras, the Typ 246 maintains Leica's preference for a rangefinder design and incorporates a 0.68x optical viewfinder with split and superimposed manual focusing, automatic parallax correction, and manual image field selection. Conversely, the camera also features a 3.0" 921.6k-dot LCD with sapphire glass covering to maintain the overall durability of the magnesium alloy and brass body.

As with past M-series cameras, the M Monochrom retains the ability to utilize the vast network of M-mount lenses from 16mm to 135mm. When working in live view, and since focusing operation is entirely manual, focus peaking and 10x live view zoom can be utilized to ensure critical focus. An ergonomic body design places all of the necessary camera controls within reach during shooting, including top shutter speed and drive mode dials, as well as rear menu navigation buttons and selection dial located atop the thumb rest.

The DNG files created by the M Monochrom (Typ 246) are not currently compatible with Apple's Photos and Aperture applications in Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10.3 and 10.10.4) and should not be imported into your Photos or Aperture libraries.

"A keeper...I love it...If you like luxury, simplicity and perfection and can afford it, the Monochrome allows you to go back in time ontogenetically and phylogenetically - in style....I use a mirrorless full format camera with my Leica M lenses and manual focusing on that system is easier."

The black Leica D-LUX (Typ 109) Digital Camera is a compact point and shoot camera that is built around a large, 12.8MP 4/3" MOS sensor which allows for greater depth of field control than is possible with smaller-sensor cameras, plus more effective light-gathering ability per pixel. As a result, subjects can be better isolated within the frame and more details are apparent in darker areas of the image with less noise.

The 4/3" 12.8MP sensor provides high-resolution output, and with its bright, optically-stabilized DC Vario-Summilux f/1.7-2.8 lens, as well as an ISO range expandable from 100 to 25600, the D-LUX (Typ 109)'s ability to perform under low-light conditions is further enhanced. Even during sunny days or when shooting with a flash, the effect of the built-in lens's wide apertures is more apparent due to the 17.3 x 13.0mm sensor with regard to depth of field. Either close-up or far-away subjects can be easily separated from their backgrounds that are then rendered with a pleasing blur, making the D-LUX (Typ 109) an excellent choice for subjects ranging from macro, street photography, photojournalism, landscapes, or for whenever a highly-capable compact camera is desired.

For those who wish to capture high-resolution video, the D-LUX (Typ 109) offers NTSC or PAL UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) output at 30p or 24p, which can be saved as easy-to use MP4 files. When lower video resolutions are sufficient, 1080p full HD or standard definition video can be selected instead, and results of any resolution can be played back on the camera's large, sharp 3.0" 921k-dot rear LCD display. During capture, the subject can also be viewed through the camera's 2764k integrated electronic viewfinder.

Stills and video are saved to SD-type cards, up to and including those with SDXC capacities. To help preserve fast performance even while capturing high-resolution still photos or video, high-speed UHS-I SD-type memory cards can be used. While photos and videos can be downloaded from the memory card, Leica has provided additional options for sharing content taken with the D-LUX (Typ 109) even more convenient. Integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n allows for smartphones or tablets with the Leica Image Shuttle app the ability to record pictures even while shooting. The app can also generate a live image from the camera and settings can be controlled though the app as well.

An advancement among point and shoot cameras, the D-LUX (Typ 109) shares the design and quality aspects photographers associate with Leica. The metal housing is sturdy and elegant, with well-placed tactile buttons and dials that further inspire the user's confidence.

"No regret....Nice camera...It's easy for a not-very-fat thumb to hit the A button, and if you have the Display set to turn off all the busy icons, you won't even know you did (unless you watch the Display as the camera boots, when the mode is briefly displayed)....The Leica is a bit larger and a bit heavier--about 3 ounces--but it feels great in the hand and, for a guy (me) who loves smaller and lighter, it's well within my comfort range."
