The microphone is great for recording closely spaced subjects by maintaining a good degree of isolation, and is also an excellent choice for recording live performances when sound comes from many directions. The tightly defined pattern preserves excellent isolation and prevents unwanted feedback. A shockmount, pop filter, extra springs/screws, and an aluminum carry case are also included.
"It performed admirably and the commercial sounded great on the air."See more

The VideoMicro reduces distracting peripheral sound and focuses on the audio in front of the camera. The microphone body is made from aluminum, giving it a high level of RF rejection, and is finished in a ceramic anti-glare black coating. The mic is powered by camera plug-in power (min. 3V) so no battery is required.
In addition, the VideoMicro includes a Lyre shoe-mount that minimizes unwanted vibrations, handling, and cable-borne noises, and a WS9 synthetic furry windshield with a foam inner cell, designed for use in outdoor situations where wind and environmental noise can inhibit recordings. A 1/8" TRS patch cable is also included.
"Good mic...love it!...Over all I think this will be a great option for someone who wants an affordable mic to boost the quality of their audio, or a compact mic to fit in a small camera bag....I will say I shoot on a sony so it is very good internal pre- amps so if you shoot Canon or Nikon I would stick with the Video Mic Pro or something that is powered so you can turn the internal pre amps down."See more

"Love it...the best...I tested on my coolpix P7700 and sound very good with a lower level input, and for my surprise work on my nikon D7000, I don't know if this is a odd situation, but I so happy for it....I've done a few tests to see the difference between the built in mic and the Rode mic and there's a definite difference in the clarity."See more

"I like...Love it...First a note on the most Liked 1 Star negative review, everything this person complains about in his 5 jacked recordings are simply his fault, firstly your phone shouldn't be set to sleep it should be on OFF NEVER so it doesn't go to sleep, not Rodes fault....It also comes with a pamphlet that gives tips on clipping the mic on the talent which was pretty helpful."See more

"BEST MIC...So happy....for the past 20 years I have taken my aggression out on every piece of my gear in the band room at one point or another.I have thrown, smashed, whipped threw windows of third floor's at my own expense replaced or repaired every thing I own several times with one exception, the thing that gets more repeated abuse than any thing else in my world, the first thing in my right hand.......My SHURE 58!!...It's the most widely used mic for a reason - it's got consistent sound quality, takes a beating, and it works."See more

The VideoMic Pro Plus sports a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack termination, outputs a dual-mono signal, and provides a TRS cable to make the connection. A micro-USB cable is also supplied, which can be used to draw bus-power. The microphone's supercardioid polar pattern ensures that surrounding audio is minimized, and that your recording is focused on the subject in front of the camera. Its inherent low-noise circuitry ensures you will not pick up any sound from the microphone's robust innards. The microphone boasts +20 dB settings for DSLR cameras, a flat setting for high-quality preamps, and a -10 dB pad.
Other features abound, such as an Automatic Power Function, a built-in battery door, and a high-pass filter with cuts at 75 Hz and 150 Hz. The filter will prevent low-end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being picked up on the resulting track. If you're unsure how loud the audio you're capturing might be, you can set the right channel to record at a lower level for safety. A selectable high-frequency boost is also available by pressing two lower buttons on the rear digital-switcher simultaneously.
To power the VideoMic Pro Plus, you can use the included rechargeable LB-1 lithium-ion battery, which lasts 100 hours on a single charge, two AA batteries, or the micro-USB cable. This microphone features an auto-powering feature which keeps you from draining battery when the camera is not in use. When connected to your camera, the VideoMic Pro Plus detects plug-in power from the audio input on compatible cameras, and this signals the microphone to switch on. When the mic detects a loss in power, either from powering off or disconnecting the camera, the mic shuts off.
"Great Mic...So Awesome!...microphone came in defective I called B&H and they took care of everything for me to return and exchange , I really like the microphone but it wasn't charging fully...Overall it will sell well but I wonder why they didn't test it out on a few cameras to see how it fits."See more

The supercardioid polar pattern and line-plus-gradient acoustic design effectively minimize audio and noise at the off-axis (sides) of the microphone, while the front of the capsule accurately reproduces incoming audio signal. The result is greater intelligibility and signal-to-noise ratio when using the NTG2 in noisy environments.
The NTG2 is powered with an internal 1.5V AA battery or an external +48V phantom power source. The output is a standard 3-pin XLR male connector.
The microphone features a rugged, all metal, lightweight enclosure that is ideal for camera mounting, yet durable enough to withstand the rigors of heavy road use. The Rode NTG2 is packaged with a microphone stand mount and windscreen.
"Pro use...5 stars...But u will need a light mount for the canon hf 20 because of it wired little shoe and a shotgun mount to put it on a camera or boom pole but it does come with a small mic holder that could be put on a boom....great product overall ....sound quality is good for the price....could have gone for a more expensive model but opted for this one ....im a sound engineer video guy second and I must say the audio quality produced by this microphone is awesome ....would recommend to a friend and I will be buying a second one for my video dslr setup once it is complete....."See more

"Love it...The best...From a studio boom mic to on location production, the sound that this mic picks up is clear and isolated and i'd rather use it on any laviar mic to pick up dialouge sound....- Battery power is a nice option to have.I use this mic with a Rycote Windshield #4, a Rode boompole (10ft), and record into a Roland R-44."See more
B&H # SEME2II MFR # ME2-II
Also, where the ME-2 gave you a frequency response of 30 Hz to 20 kHz, this iteration narrows the range from 50 Hz to 18 kHz. The focusing allows the capsule to hone in more on appropriate tonalities, minimizing the capture of frequencies piercingly high and unnecessarily low in the context of vocal recording.
Additionally, this model features a lighter-weight housing compared to the original, as well as an improved clip and an integrated windscreen. A cable length of 5.2' provides enough slack for nearly any situation, at the end of which sits a 3.5mm threaded EW connector for compatible systems, such as the AVX, XS Wireless 1, XS Wireless 2, and more.
"Yes, it's a great mic....It's great- one caution...I have had that for at least 6-7 years now, works great but the mic had a lot of cable wear and finally broke due to so much usage....I love the built in windscreen ."See more

"I like it....5 stars here....Overall the Mic is good and connects well to the lightning port on my iPhone X. I couldn't find anywhere how to use the clip properly or what it even was for until I searched and found a photo of it in use....Oddly, it seems to pick up a voice better in a noisier environment than in a quiet one, which, even though its a directional mic, that still is a bit counter-intuitive."See more

At the core of the Go Mic Connect is Samson's Sound Deck software. The software's Focused Pattern Technology narrows the mic's pickup pattern, reducing sound outside the focus area and making it ideal for business communications and mobile recordings. The Sound Deck's Active Noise Cancellation improves intelligibility, and the Echo Erase feature reduces echo or feedback caused by monitoring audio with speakers during the recording process.
The Go Mic Connect is ideal for computer recording as well as VoIP and speech-to-text communication.

"Not bad...Good Mic...I think this mic works very well for my application, I am not looking for the absolute best sound quality nor am I a sound expert, I just want to capture their voices from a distance without the subject having to yell for the standard mic to pick up their voice....I highly recommend users test the mic by having their interviewees speak a few sentences and, if your camera doesn't have a headphone input, listen to the test recording to confirm the camcorder is on the best audio setting before proceeding with the interview."See more

The windscreen's rigid construction creates space between the microphone and outer part of the windscreen, minimizing the transfer of energy from the windscreen to the microphone itself. Also included are a microphone boom mount, spacer, 2 stand adaptors and a short XLR cable. A low-cut roll off switch further minimizes low-frequency noise due to wind noise, mechanical noise and proximity effect. The ECM-VG1 requires external 40 to 52V phantom power, and is terminated with an XLR output connector.
"good audio...Very Good Mic...I am happy with the ECM-VG1 and would buy it again... the included fuzzy on a plastic cage makes a good mic great....I would even use this as a boom mic for short film work."See more
