"Love it....The best...With 2 camera bodies and any large telephoto lens, it's worth a few bucks to have a second quick release plate so that I'm not fumbling around unscrewing one plate to move to another body or lens....Now have a plate on camcorder and on scope so I can easily switch which piece of equipment is on a tripod."See more

"Love it....Good make...On most shoots I use a 501 pan-head on the tripod and owning multiple camera plates for the 501 means that I can keep a separate plate with each different camera (or mounted to the jib unit) and not have to worry about forgetting to bring a plate to the shoot locations....It's a good idea to have a spair quick release plate, never know when shuch as in my case a client returns a tripod and has no idea there was an item missing."See more

"love it....Love it!...I strongly recommend to everyone buying a tripod that they buy a spare plate at the same time....It is always nice to have a second plate for eiter a second camera or in case you left the first home."See more

It is the ideal tool to make precise positioning movements to achieve the perfect framed shot, for macro photography, for QTVR, and other precise copy/repro work. This plate has finger-tip control for ultra-fine positioning, but has a simple lock-release lever for fast set-up.
Two plates can be interlocked at 90° for full lateral/forward/back movement (over 4.7"). Made of extruded aluminum, the plate has 1/4"-20 and 3/8" holes and screws for tripod and camera mounting.
Replaces old part number 3419.
"Not bad...Great item...It's worth mentioning that the plate comes with both 3/8ths and 1/4-20 screws, both are removable but only the 3/8ths screw can be stored directly on the plate, so if you mean to use the plate with a tripod head combination you will have to find another place for the 1/4-20 screw....Into photoshop and merge photos and you have a focus stacked photo, with a great depth of field at macro level!"See more

"Solid QR...I like it!...It is exactly what we were looking for at a very reasonable price....Pros - Very well built - Generally a good quick release plate Cons - While my DSLR is attached, you cannot see the bubble level - The screw on the bottom is very tough, seems to be loosening with use though"See more

You can attach the quick release plate to the camera's base at all times; the item allows the user to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
"Thank you...Fits fine...It works well and is a defenite plus to be able to get extra plates for the tripod; however a couple of things are a little bit inconvenient....Good to have in a second camera as a permanent attachment to avoid having to change plates when placing a second camera in the tripod."See more

"Love it!...Rely good...As other reviews have state it does tuck nicely into the Rapid Box case, and you can leave the screw in the post when folding up the umbrella to avoid losing it.This product is well made and works as advertised, but I'm giving it 4 stars because 1) it's overpriced for a small metal plate with a single screw, and 2) it should be included with the $200 Rapid Box....It works similarly to a beauty dish's reflector plate...actually the Rapid Box with the deflector plate works exactly like a beauty dish."See more

"Solid Fit...Perfect !...All in all I am very happy with the plateness of the plate and the screwness of the screw - my only real complaint is the screwness of the price, which I find a bit painful due to the fact that you are after all purchasing a metal plate and a screw....I use this release plate with the Canon 300mm f/2.8 L super tele lens and a Wimberley Gimbal Type Tripod Head II."See more

The P-5 plate has a thin, dense layer of textured rubber upon its uppermost surface, which grips the bottom of cameras but is so dense and thin that it maintains a solid feel similar to a metal-to-camera connection. Below the rubber, the top metal surface of the P5 is machined to ensure that frictional force is concentrated on the plate's outer portions, which provides the maximum mechanical advantage to help resist twisting.
While the P5 works on nearly all camera bodies, it is brilliantly suited for use with cameras which have metal skeletons and metal tripod sockets. With plastic-bodied camera bodies, one must not apply excessive torque to the plate when attaching to the camera.
"Good buy...good stuff...I definitely prefer the camera specific plates from Really Right Stuff, but if I have to use a generic/universal plate for something, I think this one is a good choice....Great plate - the Wimberly site mentions that this plate will cover the battery hatch on a few canon cameras."See more

"Love it!...Good foot....This is a good product, but I returned it because I found a better solution for me: the 4th Generation foot for the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, which does NOT have a quick-release feature, but is a lower-profile Arca-Swiss style foot that attaches to the lens tripod collar with a screw....Right, so I chose this plate rather than adding a plate to the Nikon mount, because it offers a chance to simplify."See more

"Love it...Good buy....Having several mounting plates allows us to keep a plate with each device so we change to a new device on the tripod quickly....This is a great solid metal plate but be aware the this does not include the brass plug at the end."See more

"Thank you....Very solid...The mounting screw has a keeper to prevent it from separating from the quick release plate but one of mine failed or was lost and, thus the mounting screw was lost rendering that mounting plate useless....I purchase the hexagonal plate from B&H and it is pefect for holding my stronger lenses, even when I rotate the camera, the locking mechanism is so tight that the camera does not flinch, this plate is perfect for those who use the Bogen tripods, this is not the flat screw bottom, I find that that one loosens up easily, this has the extra dial at the botton to lock it tight"See more

The head's pistol grip facilitates an extremely quick and easy way to set your shooting angle: just squeeze the trigger, position with the rubberized handgrip, and release, and the camera's position is locked. This single-handed operation enables you to set forward/backward and side-to-side tilt as well as panning around a full 360°. The included quick-release plate enables fast camera mounting (via a standard 1/4"-20 camera screw) and allows you to switch to handheld shooting in seconds.
Featuring both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounts, the Compact Pistol Grip head mounts to virtually all tripods. With four built-in bubble levels around the head, you'll always have instantaneous feedback as to whether your shot hews to the horizon.
With a heavy load capacity and an integrated spring-loaded video pin on its quick-release plate, the Compact Pistol Grip head also supports compact camcorders. An ideal application might be a rapid-fire video production that involves a series of static shots.
"Love it...The Best...Though really, almost any ball head will work well because the weight is all in the dead center of the slider plate but the handle is a nice addition for extra grip. The only complaints I have are in the lack of a tension lock and the fact that the trigger can be really hard to pull....It worked like a charm and held the weight of my 6D, 24-105mm L lens without any issues."See more

A quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base. This allows you to attach or remove the camera from the tripod quickly and easily without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
"No Brainer...Perfect Fit...Buy this product to a tripod, and that I had lost, and is a very good quck release plate that fits perfectly to the camera and is very safe, I recommend it, best of all is the price-quality relationship, definitely high quality at a low price....Ordering from B & H was a breeze and the plate arrived in a couple of days here in eastern Tennessee."See more
