"Very good....great value...* I test it over the weekend and took few panorama shots together with Sunwayfoto DDH-03i and this setup is great - now I think I will add also the vertical rail to complete the freedom in both axes....I repaired it to the point that the screw was good enough to use with a telephoto tripod foot but not good enough to risk screwing it into a camera."See more

"no issues....Clear markings....I paired it up with a Cullman ballhead and it provides a very robust and stable panorama setup for a reasonable amount of money....I was comfortable with nodal point theory but there was not one word on the minimal printed piece of paper that came with it explaining 'what-went-where-and-how' or pointing out various possible 'jerry-rigged' ad hoc ways to use it as I have seen on other photo websites."See more

"Great rail...Just perfect...If you have a pano rail already, the LRP-1, a light weight option for field use, would be a duplication....It's a bit of a beast to add to your bag when in the field, but worth the weight in my opinion."See more

The Macro Focusing rail has both a ratchet handle, for fast and quick adjustments, and a thumb-screw knob along with engraved index marks on the side of the rail for fine adjustments. The CNC machined T6061 aluminum rail holds a maximum weight capacity of 15.4 lb, but may hold less weight once the angle of the rail is changed.
The Type III black anodized aluminum is scuff and scratch resistant and the finish is also resistant against corrosion. In addition, two focusing rails can be stacked for dual axis adjustments (fore-or-aft and lateral). Located on the bottom of the plate are two safety stop screws to prevent any accidental pulling or falling out of the rail when a clamp is partially open.
"So far, so good...Nice macro rail...The rail is very light and has a low profile so it doesn't take up much room at all....The sliding rail or worm rail on my unit is aligned correctly and runs very very smoothly."See more

Once the lens has been secured to the rail with the 1/4"-20 screws and adjusted; the MPR-C flange can be installed in six different positions to prevent twisting on a ball head or clamp.
"Good Fit...Great Help...Additionally, I like the mounting hole thread on this, which others do not have, in case I want to mount it to a non Swiss-Arca head in a pinch....I do lots of events, and am on and off my monopod a lot, RRS has not failed me."See more

"Awesome kit...Just Works!...I mount mine on the front end of the top handle with a short Redrock extension rail because I want my EVF to be very far forward for balance....Also a big plus is the fact that I can mount it directly on the top of my BMCC with no cage system required."See more
B&H # REMPRCLIIRIL MFR # MPR-CL II RAIL
The MPR-CL II rail can be mounted on a ball head, used as a macro slider or focuser, or can have an orbital-style flash bracket attached to it. There is a laser-engraved scale with 1mm increments on both sides of the rail, for precise position repeatability. Additionally, a built-in bull's-eye bubble level is located towards the front of rail to keep the camera level.
"Highly recommended...A must for panoramic use...I used it with a Fuji X-H1 body paired with a 16-55 f2.8 lens and that worked very well....Hint: If the price is a barrier to entry into the world of Pano, look at Sunwayfoto for a well made product."See more

Moving the gear along the 4.1" adjustment range is simple with the use of a rotating knob. Adjustments can be made precisely with the use of the scaled base, which features marked intervals at tenths of a centimeter. The mounting plate can be rotated 90° to allow movement control on a second axis, widening the range of possible shots.
The rail has an Arca-type base that allows you to mount it to any compatible tripod or stand, and also fits standard equipment via a 3/8"-16 threaded screw mount at the bottom. An adapter for 1/4"-20 screws is included for additional compatibility. The product is made out of machined aluminum and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Note: the rail does not come with the quick release plate for the bottom of your lens, which needs to be purchased separately for use.
"Overall very good value....Excellent piece of equipment!...It's made from a stronger 7075 aluminum alloy than the typical 6061 and that may be what accounts for the higher weight, but for the purpose of macrophotography, I think that the extra stability it provides is a very good thing....This is an excellent piece of equipment that I'm using with a Sony A7rii with either a 90mm Sony FE Macro, or a Sigma MC-11 adapted Canon MP-E 65mm 1x-5x Macro lens."See more
