"Love It...Nice one...Tight and Secure...Love the safety catch on the quick release....I use this head on a mono pod with a Nikon d300 and a couple of heavy lenses, so far so good, the only trouble I have, is mounting the camera back to the ball head but that's just me, Im not used to this ball head"

The Manfrotto Heavy Telephoto Lens Support is designed to allow a telephoto lens and camera combination weighing up to 44.1 lb to be easily tilted and locked into place. It features a swing positioned inside a frame that can be attached to tripods or other support systems with a 3/8"-16 mount. Pushing a lens and camera placed on the swing raises the front of the lens upward, while pulling the lens and camera points the front of the lens towards low-angle subjects.

A telephoto lens with an integrated foot or lens collar that is compatible with a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 mount can be connected to the included 357PLV Quick Release Plate, which measures 2.2 x 5.5 x 0.5" and has a rubberized, non-slip surface. The quick release plate and the attached lens can then be set and locked within the 357PL Quick Release Adapter at the center of the Manfrotto Heavy Telephoto Lens Support's swing, which is attached to both sides of the frame using two screw-in locking knobs. While loosened, both locking knobs allow a lens and camera placed on the swing to be pushed and pulled until the desired angle is obtained. The locking knobs can then be tightened, preventing further movement of the swing.

Before a telephoto lens is secured to the Manfrotto Heavy Telephoto Lens Support, the locking knobs can be fully unscrewed and removed from the frame, which also detaches the swing. Three pairs of threaded screw holes each along both sides of the swing allow it to be elevated or lowered relative to the frame. Higher swing positions can provide a lens and camera with additional height when needed, while the lowest position can be maintained to help maximize stability.

"Wow !...Good deal...Very smooth and'secure' operation!!...Plate (camera mount) has both sizes of mounting screws as well as a safety lock once engaged in the gimbal....I had to iterate about a half-dozen times to get the tension I was looking for -- not a deal-breaker, but something that took a bit of the blush off the rose for an otherwise impressive gimbal head."

The 322RC2 Ball Head from Manfrotto can be attached to tripods or other support systems that feature a 3/8"-16 mount. By squeezing the control handle's integrated trigger, the head's ball-and-socket joint can be quickly swiveled, angled, fully tilted, or returned to its upright position. The Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Tripod Head II with Quick Release Base is a gimbal-type tripod head that incorporates an elevated tilt mechanism and adjustable platform to make the camera/lens' center of gravity and tilt axis of the head be perfectly aligned.

Things once thought of as impossible with a ball head are nothing short of mundane with a Wimberley, because a weightless camera/lens combo (even a 600mm f/4 w/ large body) can literally be controlled with one finger. Point the rig where you want and take the hand away, and it stays exactly where you put it.

The Version II head is more compact and lightweight, features a redesigned panning base, "soft-touch" knobs, and includes a built-in Arca-type compatible quick release base. An Arca-type quick release plate is required and is available separately.

The Sirui K-20x Ball Head is an extremely sturdy head with control knobs for pan, tilt, and tension, plus an Arca-style clamp for the included quick-release plate. The pan, tilt, and quick-release knobs are all separate, while the tension knob is integrated into the ball-locking (tilt) knob. The head tilts 90° for portrait orientation.

The interior ball locking of the K-20x head has a sphere tolerance of 0.01mm, and it's equipped with an orientation-memory locking dial. This helps yield a high load capacity of 55 lb. The quick-release clamp features a secondary release button that prevents any inadvertent disengagement of the camera/plate from the clamp, thereby adding to the head's overall security & stability. The Arca-style platform conforms to standard sizes, so you can use compatible plates from other manufacturers.

The three control knobs allow a photographer to exercise extremely fine control over the orientation of the camera, whether it's a DSLR, 35mm, medium-format camera, or even a camcorder. Pan, for instance, can be adjusted while the tilt stays locked, enabling precise movement that's measurable – there are degree markers at the panning base for panoramic photography.

The K-20x is CNC-machined from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and anodized with an oxidation treatment that ensures a durable, high-quality finish.

"I'm happy...Great head...Light, smooth, secure...The G-2272M solves all those problems in a very low profile which keeps the camera close to the tripod legs for great stability.I particularyly like the safety latch on the QD plate....I guess that when you get a 3 way pan/tilt with 3 big knobs you expect it to be heavy and clunky, so when I want to go out and shoot anything fast, I just take my tripod with a ballhead anyway."

The Arca Swiss Monoball Z1 sp (Single Pan) Ball Head builds on the success and popularity of their B-series ball heads. Z-Series ball heads are just as elegant, and even more perfect. The size and weight of the ball heads have been significantly reduced. The ball and fastening are now assembled using a patented bayonet mount. Various accessories can thus be quickly mounted to adapt the tripod as required.

In addition to the proven, patented Arca-Swiss features, including aspherical ball heads, axial clamping and PMF (progressive motion related friction control), the Z-series also boasts new technical developments and optimized materials and coatings. The Z series can withstand an incredible 130 lb (59 kg) off-axis.

This model is the "sp" version, which features a single panning base. The Z1 head is also available as the "dp" version, with a double panning design.

Ever since their introduction over forty years ago, the Arca Swiss Monoballs have been at the forefront of quality and performance. Today, their unique shape (an ellipse rather than a sphere) is still what separates them from all others. With other ball heads, no matter how good the tension modulation, you invariably will need to increase the tension control as you move the load away from the center. This is because gravity has a greater effect on gear when not perfectly level.

"Good head...Very Happy...Great ballhead, smooth in operation and secure in locking....Some have mentioned that they did not like the quick release flip lock lever's safety switch....I also liked that I could have a longer bracket for more stabilty on my sigma 50-500 lens and a smaller bracket for the camera to use with smaller lenses."

Designed for a realm where functionality trumps all concerns, the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube simultaneously achieves mastery of control with an appearance approaching the status of jewelry.  The head allows users to place their heavy cameras with a degree of accuracy they could never have had before except in exchange for a large increase in weight.  There are still plenty of shooters around wishing to actually travel with their best stuff, and no geared head seemed practical to endure on one's person before the C1 arrived.

The C1 Cube has finely calibrated ungeared panning adjustments under and above ±28° x-y geared axes with adjustable tension.  Why two panoramic axes?  So that you can first center the Cube's controls to your position with the bottom axis, then readjust the camera to point dead ahead with the upper axis.  The gears' knobs have a little scrap of rubber running around them, to give pinpoint control while wearing gloves without being broad enough to obstruct the head's movements.  On the bottom of it all, there's a third (ungeared) hinge which allows 62° of tilt so that any camera can reach the 90° vertical position.

On top of the C1 you'll find 2 sensitive bubble levels and an Arca-Swiss flip-lock quick release clamp which has its own advantages in compactness and security.  Given all that's going on here, the weight's astonishingly low; just 2.03 lbs (925g), as light as could be imagined and considerably more compact than other geared heads.

The C1's ultimate advantage lies in the world of macro shooting, where its design allows far fewer focusing readjustments while creating images.  You see, all other geared heads (and all other 3-way pan/tilt heads for that matter) execute movements upon circular axes which are centered far below the actual camera-your gear moves along the outside of a sphere.  The C1 Cube, however, places the camera inside of a sphere.  It is almost as if the x/y axes meet at a point upon the image plane itself, with all the camera rotating around a stationary image plane.  This remarkably difficult engineering feat was chosen to minimize movements of the optical system's entrance pupil during composing, making for speedier field work free of perpetual height and focus adjustments.

"I love it...Cube - wow...Even the tilt is secure....The clamp was not usable until this was adjusted but the thumbwheel was so tight that it had to be levered with a small screwdriver. Now that I have made the fine adjustment and understand the two safety catches the quick release clamp works satisfactorily, but is still unnecessarily tedious to operate....It is a real pain to put it back together, but when I did so I rearranged the convex washers that act as a spring to give me slightly greater width for the universal Wimberley plate that I purchased with this head - and now it is perfect."

The RoadTrip is actually two camera supports in one. A foam-cushioned, removable leg attaches to the center column to convert to full size monopod.

The tripod's legs can be spread independently, with two-position leg angle stops. A spring-loaded hook is located in a recess at the bottom of the center column, allowing you to hang a heavy object from it for additional stability.

The ball head offers separate head and pan locks, a 360° pan index, and an integral bubble level. An Arca-type compatible quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 camera screw is included in the kit, along with a durable carry case with a shoulder strap for storage and transport.

"Love it...Good buy...They passed through the TSA security checks with no issues....Really good tripod, easy fo fold and to carry for hikes, stable with a precise ball head, fun colours... I never used a professionnal tripod, which would certainly be even better but for a crazy price, but overall this MeFOTO tripod is complete and convenient for serious photographers."
