The Skimmer's flat bottom allows it to slide and pan easily along the beach or mud without scooping up earth, protecting equipment from grit and moisture. The sides are turned out slightly to push sand and mud out and away, helping to keep debris from coming over the top. A protected area inside the plate can even be used to store teleconverters, extension tubes, and other incidentals for quick access while shooting.
The Skimmer's wide mounting surface can accommodate virtually any ballhead or gimbal-style head fitting a standard 3/8" tripod mount. It has been matched for use with low-profile lens feet when used with the Wimberley C-10, as well as for the Wimberley Gimbal Head II, without the need for modification or additional risers. However, an optional riser block fits perfectly and can be stacked when additional height is needed.
"very useful...A must have....I may be old and laying on my stomach is OK but getting up takes a little bit, bit the groundpod holds the camera and lens perfectly so I can leave it there until I bend down and pick it up....I had seen many favorable reviews of this product so it is what I expected."See more

"Love it...Love It!...I only bought 1 to try it out... I got a d7000 and a sb700 to try it out hence, it did not work out as plan... my flash does'nt have a pc sync so I ordered an adapter to remotely-sync-fire the flash and ordered another Plus 3... will update soon... first impression on the product... its solid... made in the USA, well built and looks awesome on the camera... hope it's durable....I made a little pounch out of old backpack material that I velcro to my lightstand so I didn't have to glue velcro to the top like a lot of other photographers seem to do...Not so good: They feel quite light and cheap to me."See more

The FlexTT5 is the ideal addition to any Nikon i-TTL flash system. Since this system works on digital radio technology, it can support i-TTL operation around corners, out-of-sight, or in bright sunlight.
The FlexTT5 is a "Transceiver", meaning it can be used either as a transmitter placed into the camera's hot shoe, in combination with another FlexTT5 unit on the flash end, or as a receiver, with a MiniTT1 transmitter-only unit placed on the camera's hot shoe.
"i love...Worth it...Only reason I deducted a star is because I am still a beginner with these and cannot figure out why they seem to be inconsistent - I shoot and it get a great shot, wait a sec for the flash to repower for a second shot but it does not fire again....Not a lot to ask for I know, but after you've used a product which works about 90% of the time you come to appreciate it when your ger I've also used this package (minus the AC9) to put a speedlight close to my subjects while I backed off several meters so I could use lens compression for a more dramatic shot."See more

Note: Because it does not have an optical transmission function, the Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT is not compatible with earlier Speedlite models such as 580EX II.
"So Nice...love it...First off, I love Canon products, I have several canon bodies including the fantastic 5D mk lll and a bunch of pro canon glass as well as 4 600 ex rt flashes and a couple 580's I am a commercial photographer in Pittsburgh and I use them all the time....If you are hand holding the camera, it poses no issue, but typically I am shooting from a tripod and at my eye level in a standing position, the display is not viewable, so the options are, remove the camera from the tripod, adjust and replace or remove the transmitter and replace it on the camera.....HUGE waste of time, especially when your client is present and the clock is ticking...."See more

"Love it...The Best...Otherwise, this a great unit and I am thrilled to finally have a basic unit like this that doesn't chew up my wallet when I need a few of them....The unexpected surprise was that two of these and the correct cable work as a great remote trigger for a camera that doesn't have one otherwise, such as a EOS-1V or similar."See more

The ST-E2 sets and controls all functions of its slave units. The flash output ratio between groups A and B can also be adjusted from 8:1 to 1:1 or from 1:1 to 1:8.
Under low-light or low-contrast conditions it emits an AF-assist beam linked to the camera's focusing points.
Note: 420EX/430EX cannot be used as the master slave to trigger other flashes.
"love it...It Works...The only reason I gave this product a 4 star rating and not a 5 star rating is because when the unit was deliverd I was disapointed to find it did not come with a battery, which I had to go out and find before I could use it....Has many more capabilities than I will ever use, and perhaps I needn't have spent the money (it IS a bit pricey) but I really enjoy being able to use one off-camera flash and not be literally tied to the sucker by a synch cord."See more

"Love it...Love it!...I am very pleased by this little transmitter and am tempted to buy a 2nd to put on my 2nd body so that I can use my off camera lighting for either body I am using during a wedding or so that my 2nd shooter can use the off camera lighting as well....I have been on several events/award shoots where I had to place my monolights, synced with Power Wizard Plus II's, along the walls in a large room for a very long throw."See more

The MiniTT1 is the ideal addition to any Nikon i-TTL flash system. It works in combination with the FlexTT5 Transceiver, and since this system works on digital radio technology, it can support i-TTL operation around corners, out-of-sight, or in bright sunlight.

The PlusX Transceiver offers 10 channels that are easily navigated via the large backlit channel dial. Auto-Sensing technology allows it to instantly fluctuate between transmitter and receiver duties. The PlusX is fully backward-compatible with all other PocketWizard radios slaves and as well as flash units with built-in PocketWizard reception such as Sekonic, Photogenic, Norman, Bowens and Dynalite. Sync speeds as high as 1/250 sec. for focal plane shutters and 1/500 sec. for leaf shutters are possible with triggering speeds up to 14.5 frames per second. A hot shoe on the unit and a 3.5mm sync port allows connection to devices with or without hot shoes. This specially boxed kit includes 2 PlusX Transceivers, 1 miniphone to miniphone cable, 1 PC cord and 1 adapter. Two lanyards and an instruction book are also included. Use the items linked in the "includes" section for spec reference only.
"It Works...Love it....It's a radio trigger that works and I found there is no point of buying the plus 3 model when this one does everything it's supposed to do but a lot cheaper...They fire every time and give me the peace of mind to shoot in studio or out on location without any interruptions or interference due to being able to select between 10 radio channels."See more

Convenience features include flash exposure lock, AF beam focus assist, modeling strobe and 9 custom functions. The YN-E3-RT transmitter will run for 10 hours of continuous use on AA/LR6 alkaline batteries. A power saving function shuts the unit down after being idle for 5 minutes to conserve batteries.
"Love It...So happy...I am not a professional photographer so there might be performance levels, such as cycle times, or functions that others might demand that the unit does not deliver, but I am very pleased and I would buy another without hesitation....Great trigger, fires my 600ex-rt 100% of the time with one caveat... I am often switching back and forth between off-camera flash and bracketing and when I switch to bracketing I have to not only power off this unit, I have to remove it from the camera body for bracketing to work properly."See more
