"Great small ball head...This with the tripod stand works great....95% of this item is high quality except the threaded base-the surface that mates to your tripod or tripod head receiver grip accessory....Pricey but it is well designed and made."See more

The weight capacity is 15.4 lb and counterbalance supports 8.8 lb. The balance plate's 3.27" range allows you to correct for uneven payloads due to matte boxes or DSLR rig configurations.
The bridging technology ensures that the pan friction control is intuitive and easy to set, but also protected against knocks. There are independent locks for pan and tilt, and drag for both is selectable in a continuous range from zero to the max level. This allows you to operate the head in a confident, smooth manner using the included pan bar.
"5 Stars...love it!...I loved this head, I work in video and had never held a head like this, it is very stable, the movement is really fluid, and the best is adjustable, I can make smooth or fast panning, is the best investment I've made, I I use it with my Canon 7D and my Blacmagic 2.5k...3: The counterbalance spring is not adjustable, so I won't rant on it to much, but for my DSLR setup, it was still too strong and I had to keep the tilt tension tighter than I wanted to in order to hold it where I wanted it.With all that in mind, for $ this is a really nice head."See more

The ball head offers separate head and pan locks, a 360° pan index, and an integral bubble level. An Arca-type compatible quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 camera screw is included in the kit, along with a durable carry case with a shoulder strap for storage and transport.
"Love it...Love it....Nowhere close to my Really Right Stuff or Arca Swiss heads and I will miss the flip lever release but considering I was leaving the good tripod and ball head at home this is great....the extra features I didn't know about are that the quick release works with the peak design bases as well and the head removes so I can put it on another base that I like but doesn't have a good head adjustment on it (pakpod)."See more

"Love It...Not bad!...I use this with my manfrotto 055xb tripod and it works great, I have had a lot of tripods and tripod heads, but they were never this quantity, it is very well built and you can feel the quality of the ball head,...I was honestly shocked it held us that weight so well however I would not advise getting this head for video unless your doing time lapses or need a stationary setup."See more

Its provided quick release plate features a standard 1/4"-20 mounting screw with a video pin, and has a sliding range of +20/-25mm - to enable travel capabilities - essential in balancing uneven configurations. The head's tilt angle is adjustable from +90° to -60°.
"Good Deal...Great head...I spent many years shooting on Vinten and Sachtler tripods and really liked the features and reliability of those brands. When it came time to shop for gear that I could donate to our church's fledgling video department I took a look at the gear I used to use but simply couldn't afford it....However, I was so confident that my camera would not come off the tripod that I set the timer on the camera to 10 seconds, pressed the focus button, and lifted the tripod onto the jersey barrier so the view wound not be obstructed by the fence, and held the tripod steady against the fence ."See more

"Love it...Love it!...I had this tripod for less than 10 hours (it has justarrived), so I cant give any specific detail aboutperformance, but I can give you a overview. This is the best tripod I have ever tested....It is heavy but I knew that when I purchased it,,, for my photos of hummingbirds, I setup the unit attach my camera lens combination then use a wireless controller to snap the shots,,, I dont have to worry that the tripod will topple over,,, an extra plus was the killer price!!!"See more

Things once thought of as impossible with a ball head are nothing short of mundane with a Wimberley, because a weightless camera/lens combo (even a 600mm f/4 w/ large body) can literally be controlled with one finger. Point the rig where you want and take the hand away, and it stays exactly where you put it.
The Version II head is more compact and lightweight, features a redesigned panning base, "soft-touch" knobs, and includes a built-in Arca-type compatible quick release base. An Arca-type quick release plate is required and is available separately.
"Love it...Love it....To set up I first tighten to adjust the tension for easy side to side movement and then thighten the up and down movement so that it will not fall forward or backward banging my expensive lens and camera on the mount or tripod....I cant compare it because is the only one I have and use, but I am shure it is one of the best products you can have in your hands, since you touch it for the first time you love it."See more
