It is the ideal tool to make precise positioning movements to achieve the perfect framed shot, for macro photography, for QTVR, and other precise copy/repro work. This plate has finger-tip control for ultra-fine positioning, but has a simple lock-release lever for fast set-up.
Two plates can be interlocked at 90° for full lateral/forward/back movement (over 4.7"). Made of extruded aluminum, the plate has 1/4"-20 and 3/8" holes and screws for tripod and camera mounting.
Replaces old part number 3419.
"Not bad...Great item...Sturdy product that does what it should....It's worth mentioning that the plate comes with both 3/8ths and 1/4-20 screws, both are removable but only the 3/8ths screw can be stored directly on the plate, so if you mean to use the plate with a tripod head combination you will have to find another place for the 1/4-20 screw."See more

"The best...Works OK...Great QR plate - will not shake...With 2 camera bodies and any large telephoto lens, it's worth a few bucks to have a second quick release plate so that I'm not fumbling around unscrewing one plate to move to another body or lens."See more

"Love it!...Good foot....Very Stable foot...This is a good product, but I returned it because I found a better solution for me: the 4th Generation foot for the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, which does NOT have a quick-release feature, but is a lower-profile Arca-Swiss style foot that attaches to the lens tripod collar with a screw."See more

"Solid Fit...Perfect !...it didn't fall crashing to the ground!...All in all I am very happy with the plateness of the plate and the screwness of the screw - my only real complaint is the screwness of the price, which I find a bit painful due to the fact that you are after all purchasing a metal plate and a screw."See more
"love it!...Good Stuff...Plate useful for stability...The Wimberley P10 Quick Release Plate is a must-have for long lenses (such as the Nikon 70-200mm 2.8) when using a tripod or monopod."See more

"Great item...WORKS GREAT...it give me stability and helps when used for a very long time....It is a bit pricey for just a piece of metal but; like the tech said, it fit my Nikon 200-500mm lens perfectly and my Benro B2 Ball Head."See more

"Thank you....Very solid...Very strong and stable...I purchase the hexagonal plate from B&H and it is pefect for holding my stronger lenses, even when I rotate the camera, the locking mechanism is so tight that the camera does not flinch, this plate is perfect for those who use the Bogen tripods, this is not the flat screw bottom, I find that that one loosens up easily, this has the extra dial at the botton to lock it tight"See more

The head's pistol grip facilitates an extremely quick and easy way to set your shooting angle: just squeeze the trigger, position with the rubberized handgrip, and release, and the camera's position is locked. This single-handed operation enables you to set forward/backward and side-to-side tilt as well as panning around a full 360°. The included quick-release plate enables fast camera mounting (via a standard 1/4"-20 camera screw) and allows you to switch to handheld shooting in seconds.
Featuring both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounts, the Compact Pistol Grip head mounts to virtually all tripods. With four built-in bubble levels around the head, you'll always have instantaneous feedback as to whether your shot hews to the horizon.
With a heavy load capacity and an integrated spring-loaded video pin on its quick-release plate, the Compact Pistol Grip head also supports compact camcorders. An ideal application might be a rapid-fire video production that involves a series of static shots.
"Love it...The Best...I like the tripod - lightweight, reasonably stable....Though really, almost any ball head will work well because the weight is all in the dead center of the slider plate but the handle is a nice addition for extra grip. The only complaints I have are in the lack of a tension lock and the fact that the trigger can be really hard to pull."See more

"Works, but......Accurate Level...The setup is very stable and robust....The fluid within this level seems a bit more viscous (slower to react) than I'm used to with a Vinten or Sachtler level but it hasn't been a problem so far."See more

The P-5 plate has a thin, dense layer of textured rubber upon its uppermost surface, which grips the bottom of cameras but is so dense and thin that it maintains a solid feel similar to a metal-to-camera connection. Below the rubber, the top metal surface of the P5 is machined to ensure that frictional force is concentrated on the plate's outer portions, which provides the maximum mechanical advantage to help resist twisting.
While the P5 works on nearly all camera bodies, it is brilliantly suited for use with cameras which have metal skeletons and metal tripod sockets. With plastic-bodied camera bodies, one must not apply excessive torque to the plate when attaching to the camera.
"Good buy...good stuff...It's good to have a stable universal plate handy that can be placed on just about any size camera body....I definitely prefer the camera specific plates from Really Right Stuff, but if I have to use a generic/universal plate for something, I think this one is a good choice."See more
