The 4018ES-T kit features an MMP-E series active cable preamp which comes with a side mounted cable connected to the capsule. The microphone provides high separation without off-axis frequency peaks and dips, for an even sound on all sides. The rear lobe pattern is minimized for isolation, allowing for use as a spot or hanging microphone in orchestra recording situations. An SM4000-C suspension mount, table stand, and windscreen are included.

Its cardioid polar pattern rejects sound from behind the capsule, giving a more focused pickup zone. Its wide frequency range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz and high maximum SPL of 140 dB deliver clear audio free of distortion. The MEB 114 terminates to a mini-XLR jack. A 9.8' mini-XLR to XLR 3-pin cable is included for connection to a mixer or microphone preamp. The mic operates on 24 to 48V phantom power and requires no batteries.

B&H # RONTG2 MFR # NTG2
The supercardioid polar pattern and line-plus-gradient acoustic design effectively minimize audio and noise at the off-axis (sides) of the microphone, while the front of the capsule accurately reproduces incoming audio signal. The result is greater intelligibility and signal-to-noise ratio when using the NTG2 in noisy environments.
The NTG2 is powered with an internal 1.5V AA battery or an external +48V phantom power source. The output is a standard 3-pin XLR male connector.
The microphone features a rugged, all metal, lightweight enclosure that is ideal for camera mounting, yet durable enough to withstand the rigors of heavy road use. The Rode NTG2 is packaged with a microphone stand mount and windscreen.
"Pro use...5 stars...great product overall ....sound quality is good for the price....could have gone for a more expensive model but opted for this one ....im a sound engineer video guy second and I must say the audio quality produced by this microphone is awesome ....would recommend to a friend and I will be buying a second one for my video dslr setup once it is complete........But u will need a light mount for the canon hf 20 because of it wired little shoe and a shotgun mount to put it on a camera or boom pole but it does come with a small mic holder that could be put on a boom."See more

"SO FRESH...Love it!...This is a really big microphone, as long are you realize that its going to stand 12 inches tall on your desk its not a negative, but don't expect to hand hold it, or put it on a flimsy stand....While, I was a bit shocked at the size and weight of the microphone when it first arrived, I was even more shocked at how incredible the microphone worked capturing even the most soft spoken of students."See more
B&H # ROVIDEOMICRO MFR # VIDEOMICRO
The VideoMicro reduces distracting peripheral sound and focuses on the audio in front of the camera. The microphone body is made from aluminum, giving it a high level of RF rejection, and is finished in a ceramic anti-glare black coating. The mic is powered by camera plug-in power (min. 3V) so no battery is required.
In addition, the VideoMicro includes a Lyre shoe-mount that minimizes unwanted vibrations, handling, and cable-borne noises, and a WS9 synthetic furry windshield with a foam inner cell, designed for use in outdoor situations where wind and environmental noise can inhibit recordings. A 1/8" TRS patch cable is also included.
"love it!...Good mic...Over all I think this will be a great option for someone who wants an affordable mic to boost the quality of their audio, or a compact mic to fit in a small camera bag....I will say I shoot on a sony so it is very good internal pre- amps so if you shoot Canon or Nikon I would stick with the Video Mic Pro or something that is powered so you can turn the internal pre amps down."See more

"Not bad...Not bad....I think this mic works very well for my application, I am not looking for the absolute best sound quality nor am I a sound expert, I just want to capture their voices from a distance without the subject having to yell for the standard mic to pick up their voice....I give this microphone a 10 out of 10 because the cable is long and it sounds great for the price not too expensive what can you say for something that is only $22 works great and sounds good would recommend it to anyone looking for a lavalier microphone"See more

"Love It...It's Ok...I purchased this microphone because I am a Dj at an Internet Rock/Metal station.I wanted a microphone that is decent but that is also not too expensive, after hearing and reading so many great reviews about the snowball I decided to purchase one and I am very happy with it.It was very easy to setup it does not take up alot of space is quite attractive and I have not had any problems whatsoever with it....HI, When I order this Mic, I accedently ordered 2 instead of one, but after I tried it out I decided, I liked it so much that I would send the extra one to my sister who likes to sing."See more
