"Not Bad...It's ok...Does what it is suppose to do, add continuous light for video capture, has a small wheel on the left side to adjust the light from dim to full, using the Canon 5D Mark II, the light was a little too bright in a semi dark room, the camera handles low light so well, you may want to reconsider buying unless you're sure to take movies in the dark....and it turned out nice ... I was glad I had it I would like to buy another one like it - one on the camera and one on a tripod would be nice for interviews and much cheaper than a complete lighting kit ... I GIVE IT 4 STARS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE PLASTIC SHOE /SHRUG BUT I WILL GET ANOTHER ONE"See more

"Love it!...loved it...I really did not have a ring light on my wish list, but I had recently obtained a used macro lens and when I saw a good deal on the light I snagged one....The Bolt VM-160 macro ring light is an amazing light for macro shooting which distributes the light around the lens for better illumination Giving you a sense of side lighting on the lighting and overhead lighting at a minimum to a perfect balance , I love it it is amazing how a very quick set up 1 2 3 and you get the picture that you would acquire from a law just set up and mono lights"See more

"Great Kit...Great buy!...While this isn't difficult, you must be very careful not to cross thread your lights or accidentally drop them while rotating them.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and I would recommend these lights to anyone looking for some inexpensive LED lights for their shoots....Those who are complaining about being cheaply made....I'm not seeing that compared to other kits similar to this one... It very plastic and great to have the option of battery use or ac....I would suggest using sandbags to hold the lights down...they are very light weight...just be careful with the plastic pieces...l'll let you know in a few months how its working for me in real life use!!"See more

The Silkray's size and shape are unique factors. The diminutive 10.23" diameter disc is a little over 1/2" in thickness, and since its LEDs are barely warm to the touch, the light can be squeezed into places where traditional light sources just can't go. Add to that the fact that the Silkray 400 can be separated from its yoke, and you have a light that can almost literally go anywhere. And, since it weighs in at only 3 lb, you can gaffer tape it into position if needed. The flexible Silkray 400 also offers power options. It comes with a 100-240 VAC power adapter, ready for worldwide use, but it can also run on optional NP-F type camera batteries when mains power is unavailable.
"Love it...Love it!...The lights come packed in a custom-cut closed cell foam padding which I kept and am now using for protection in a hard case....But the volume of light is quite modest... For product shots I can likely get away with it... You'd have to have more than one for an interview and be within 4 ft to make a difference... And no one being interviewed wants a light blasting in their face... even if it is diffuse."See more

"Love it...Love it!...I liked it a lot I got a set of three lights I am dissapointed with the gels holder because they come out easy I got a set and they come in a nice case but they dont come with barn doors and soft boxes includen I paid almos 1700 they should include it all so you wont have to order separate items because you are going to need it and that will cost you for the set another 600 dlls or so rotolight should sell you a complete set not just partially complete...Just after testing, this light seems perfect for the kind of cramped-space industrial shooting I need to do, like getting in and out of working kitchens and packing something in checked luggage."See more

In a field dominated by rectangular or square arrays, Genaray has made the wise choice of making their studio lights circular. Not only does the increased surface area have more wrap-around light characteristics but the shape renders pleasing, natural-looking catchlights in your subject's eyes. And if you're doing portraiture, you can soften the SpectroLED-14's output by slipping the included 3/4 stop diffusion sock over the reflector. Heat is never a concern since the cool-running LEDs are barely warm to the touch.
Another way to soften the quality of light is to use the umbrella socket that is built into the mount. You can use reflective or translucent umbrellas for bounce or shoot-through effects. The socket accepts 7 or 8 mm shafts and the mount has a 65-degree tilting range for perfect placement.
Power is provided by an included multi-voltage power supply and adapter that accepts 100-240 VAC. The inclusion of a cigarette lighter adapter cord also gives you the option of using 12V batteries for convenience or location shooting. You can run the SpectroLED-14 for approximately 70 minutes on an average fully charged battery. Not only are you saving money every time you use the SpectroLED-14 due to its low current draw, but with a 50,000-hour lamp life the SpectroLED-14 is virtually maintenance-free. The light mounts to any compatible 5/8" baby pin stand and can be operated with an optional remote dimmer that connects via a 12.8' cable.
"Wow 4.5...Love it!...A car lighter plugin allows for power the light on the go, an extra fuse is included as a backup and reference, and a diffusion sock that tightly fits over the front of the light creates some great diffusion in a fraction of the space a lightbox would take....I love how it comes with three lights and stands - everything I need for my three point lighting set ups!"See more

Octagonal-shaped light sources have long had a reputation as the preferred portrait-shooter's light source. The shape offers an especially large surface area which produces wrap-around light, which envelopes the subject while creating natural-looking catchlights in the eyes.
Each daylight-balanced 28W lamp outputs 1400 lumens of light measured at 3.3 feet for a 9-lamp total of 12,600 lumens. Five switches on the rear of the fixture allow individual control of the lamps allowing 1 - 9 of them to be switched on or off, varying the output in 1400 lumen increments. The head's standard 5/8" receiver mounts to a huge variety of light stands and gripware with 5/8" studs.
The included Octabox has a removable inner baffle and front face allowing even greater flexibility from hard to ultra-soft light. The light head also comes with a removable aluminum reflector for a bright, contrasty lighting option.
