"Not Bad...Very nice...It works great to just sit on the table or podium and picks up voices from up to a few feet away....Yes they are very inexpensive however they have preformed well during several live events both as static mic or in a push to talk situation."See more

"Great podium mic...Great Microphone...The 18 neck also lets the mic get close to the speaker and helps avoid issues with feedback....The pickup is great, reliablility is awesome, and the fact that you can remove the bottom cover and switch the settings on it is even better."See more

"Great range...They are good...I use them at board meetings and when people lean back after long meetings, I can still hear them....I also enjoy the functionality of the switch and how it is a cough switch by default."See more

"Looks great and works great...We used it in a worship hall and the sound improved a lot....I called the manufacturer support and found out that we needed to enable the phantom power in the mixer....Once that was done and a few mixer settings adjustments, we are fine."See more

The supercardioid polar pattern and line-plus-gradient acoustic design effectively minimize audio and noise at the off-axis (sides) of the microphone, while the front of the capsule accurately reproduces incoming audio signal. The result is greater intelligibility and signal-to-noise ratio when using the NTG2 in noisy environments.
The NTG2 is powered with an internal 1.5V AA battery or an external +48V phantom power source. The output is a standard 3-pin XLR male connector.
The microphone features a rugged, all metal, lightweight enclosure that is ideal for camera mounting, yet durable enough to withstand the rigors of heavy road use. The Rode NTG2 is packaged with a microphone stand mount and windscreen.
"Pro use...5 stars...I bought this mic on good reviews ....Currently I'm using the mic for interviews and pieces to camera by the journalists at my work.I've found that this mic works very well when it's close to the subject who is speaking at a good volume.I use the mic with a Zoom H4n Recorder, which unfortunately doesn't provide it enough juice to perform at its best....great product overall ....sound quality is good for the price....could have gone for a more expensive model but opted for this one ....im a sound engineer video guy second and I must say the audio quality produced by this microphone is awesome ....would recommend to a friend and I will be buying a second one for my video dslr setup once it is complete....."See more

"Love it!...Good Mic...For $90 or so, you can get this studio quality microphone with multiple setting depending on what you are using it for, a gain control, and a headphone input to allow you to listen to what you are saying....Furthermore, I caught some strange looks when I pulled out this microphone before class, however the students no longer complain as they now are able to listen to the class in the event they have to miss a class."See more
The VideoMicro reduces distracting peripheral sound and focuses on the audio in front of the camera. The microphone body is made from aluminum, giving it a high level of RF rejection, and is finished in a ceramic anti-glare black coating. The mic is powered by camera plug-in power (min. 3V) so no battery is required.
In addition, the VideoMicro includes a Lyre shoe-mount that minimizes unwanted vibrations, handling, and cable-borne noises, and a WS9 synthetic furry windshield with a foam inner cell, designed for use in outdoor situations where wind and environmental noise can inhibit recordings. A 1/8" TRS patch cable is also included.
"love it!...Good mic...Over all I think this will be a great option for someone who wants an affordable mic to boost the quality of their audio, or a compact mic to fit in a small camera bag....I'll be using an iPhone for the most part due to the portability and flexibility so I was on the fence about this or the smart phone version... But decided to use the hot shoe version since new smart phones seems to be doing away with the headphone jack."See more

"Not bad...Good Mic...I think this mic works very well for my application, I am not looking for the absolute best sound quality nor am I a sound expert, I just want to capture their voices from a distance without the subject having to yell for the standard mic to pick up their voice....If you use it to put a recorder in your pocket and use the lav mic just on you, then the Olympus is better because the cord is long enough to go from your lapel to pocket (3 feet) but not so long that you have extra cord to deal with."See more

"Love It...It's Ok...I purchased this microphone because I am a Dj at an Internet Rock/Metal station.I wanted a microphone that is decent but that is also not too expensive, after hearing and reading so many great reviews about the snowball I decided to purchase one and I am very happy with it.It was very easy to setup it does not take up alot of space is quite attractive and I have not had any problems whatsoever with it....HI, When I order this Mic, I accedently ordered 2 instead of one, but after I tried it out I decided, I liked it so much that I would send the extra one to my sister who likes to sing."See more
