What Is a Video Monitor?
A video monitor is a display device that allows you to observe the output from a piece of video equipment, such as a camera or video player. Types of Professional Monitors

Production Monitor
A production monitor is a larger television-style display device. They are primarily used in production trucks, studios, and other permanent control room locations. Just like an on-camera monitor, a production monitor includes monitoring tools such as waveform and vectorscope, as well as on-screen information displays. You can rack-mount them or sit them on a desktop with the use of monitor stands.
