The Ruggard Red Series Ruby 33 Tech Backpack is a versatile, everyday bag designed to comfortably and securely carry your mobile office whether you're going to class or work. Within the spacious main compartment that can accommodate books, documents, a lunch bag, a camera system, or a light jacket, is a dedicated tablet sleeve. The cushioned tablet sleeve accommodates an iPad or similar device up to 10.0". A soft interior lining within the tablet sleeve prevents screen scratches. An elastic touch-tab strap can be fastened over the tablet compartment, to prevent its contents from falling out even if the bag is turned upside-down while the main compartment is opened.

The Red Series Ruby 33 Tech Backpack also features a cushioned, dedicated laptop compartment that will accommodate a laptop up to 15.6". The laptop is protected from minor bumps and shocks and is kept in place by an elastic belt.

Labeled pockets with touch fasteners for computer peripherals such as mice and power adapters are included inside the organizational compartment, along with multiple pockets for pens, business cards, USB flash drives, and other small electronics. A metal ring clip offers a dedicated location for keys, and a slim, neoprene pocket on the wearer's left shoulder strap can be used to house a medium-sized mobile phone for easy access. This pocket's elasticity maintains a tight grip on a phone to prevent it from sliding out despite jostles and jolts, while an inconspicuous horizontal side zip pocket and twin open-top pockets on the front provide different places to keep items that require a higher level of security separate from those that simply need to be accessed quickly and conveniently.

The main compartment also includes an adjustable divider system that creates a space toward the bottom that can fit up to a medium-sized DSLR with an attached 24-70mm lens, a short prime lens, and shoe-mount flash. Two convenient side-access pockets let you reach your camera gear without having to open the top or fully remove the pack from your back. The space created above your camera, lenses, and flash can still accommodate books, documents, a lunch bag, or a light jacket.

Even when filled to capacity, the Red Series Ruby 33 Tech Backpack remains comfortable to carry due to its resilient and breathable 3D mesh padding along the bag's straps and rear which cushion your back and shoulders. The padding's elevated structure on the bag itself optimizes air circulation between you and the backpack, minimizing perspiration in warm and hot environments. For extra-heavy loads, this backpack's adjustable, padded hip belt can be used along with the sternum strap to more evenly distribute the weight being carried. Further storage space is incorporated within the hip belt in the form of two additional zip pockets that provide easily reachable spaces for small accessories.

Thoughtfully designed inside and out, the Ruggard Red Lining creates contrast inside the front and main compartments to help you find, at a glance, whatever is placed inside the durable 150-denier polyester interior, while the weather-resistant 900-denier polyester exterior and reinforced base allows you to use the Ruggard Red Series Ruby 33 Tech Backpack day in and day out with confidence.

question

Will this bag be good in size for traveling and touring in Europe?
Asked by: Aj
It's a good size bag with many compartments. But bags are all personal preference. Personally I can see myself using the bag for travel but someone else may disagree. If you live in NY, come to our store to check it out. If not, you can purchase the bag to see for yourself. You can return this item back to B&H within 30 days of purchase.

question

Any way to hook up a tripod to the pack?
Asked by: Tony P.
Hi Tony... not sure... didn't like the bag at all and returned it straight up - was far less of a camera bag than it was described. B&H was cool about taking it back though.

question

I thought this bag would be a good camera bag, but I'm starting to feel like it's more of a everyday bag and less of a camera bag. I don't know how to/can't find a good way to place the dividers in a way so I can get my canon 60d, my flash, and 2 lenses like the descriptions say. How do you all organize this bag?
Asked by: Lauren T.
I own the bag, and I would characterizing it as a hybrid bag - a backpack with a specialized compartment for a DSLR and lens or two. I use it as a vacation back when I am limited by carry-ons and I need to bring laptop, tablet and other items, too. I still have a stand-alone camera backpack that I use when I want to bring all my gear along.

question

Will this hold nikon5100, 3 lenses, and 15 inch laptop at same time?
Asked by: Maurice S.
This could be really pushing it. IT is a great carry all for computer and other support materials but a large camera and three lines would not find the room.S
