Always CF Cards from SanDisk

This type of memory card was and still is my most used card in my cameras. Some of my cameras date back more than 10 years and are still in use. SanDisk CF cards were the first I purchased [starting with 256MB ;-) many years ago] and since those never failed, I sticked to this brand over all those years and none of those cards ever disappointed me. Hope those cards will serve me without failures in the future as well.

Been using ScanDisk CompactFlash memory cards in my Canon DSLR cameras for a number of years without any problems. (Well, except that time I picked up the wrong card to erase and reformat; it should have known to stop me).

The One Card I can Trust

I work with 10 to $200,000 cameras and I can not second guess what I am using. Here is a product I trust. I use 128 and 256 because sometimes I just can not stop shooting. I carry many extras/spare and 4 back up portable hard drives and separate them into different luggage, bags and carry-on. Never trust one copy.

I needed a 128GB CF for a large reality show I was working on. This one is working well inside my Sound Devices 664 Mixer and its on their approved list.

black magic?

black magic?
Asked by: James
I have the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. The CF card will not work in this camera. The BMPCC4K uses SD cards, CFast 2.0 cards and the Samsung T5 SSD drives via USB C. I think the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro also uses CFast 2.0 cards not CF cards. CF cards and CFast cards look alike, but they are not the same. The Coast 2.0 cards are much faster than CF cards. You could use the Faster version of the SDXC cards in the BMPCC4K. If you use SD cards I would suggest the new UHS-II V90 cards because of the speed needed to record 4K files. The V90 cards I use are the Angelbird 64GB AV Pro UHS-II SDXC Memory Card and Sony 64GB SF-G Tough Series UHS-II SDXC Memory Card. I have previously used the CF cards in my Canon 5D cameras and AJA KiPro recorder.

I have a Canon EOS 5D MarkIV and photograph birds, the reason for purchasing a large capacity card, and high speed. I'm very happy with it, shooting at 7 frames/sec. Loades fast into the card in RAW and downloads to my computer fast as well. I'm sure it will work as well in a Nikon
