question

What's the difference between the Red, Red Pro, and Retail Kit drives?
Asked by: Andrew
Red are the 5400 RPM, Red Pro are 7200 RPM, and the Retail Kit sold here is a 5400 ROM OEM drive (Without the fancy retail box) - straight from the manufacturer

question

what are the rpm on this?
Asked by: marco
5400...but remember in a NAS array config, that won't really matter too much.I run 10 of these in ZFS raidz3 and the R/W speeds are far greater than my network can handle and I am running GigaBit. Now if you run fiber, then I could see it making a difference with higher RPMs

question

Will this fit into a 2011 13 inch MacBook Pro?
Asked by: Anonymous
This drive is same as any 2.5 SSD drive. If the Macbook previously had a 2.5 SSD sata 6 . the WD red SSD should fit. I do not have a Macbook so the best person speak to an apple saleman or look at the specification in the Macbook manual or check on Apple's website.
