Freehands 11351ML overview

  • 1Description

The large black Men's Softshell Photo Gloves from Freehands are designed to be used when photographing outdoors in cold weather. They feature a zippered pocket to store your memory card right on the glove for easy access while you're shooting.

When photographing in cold weather you can access your camera's small buttons by pulling back the thumb and forefinger tips of the gloves. The tips are secured in place by magnets until you are ready to cover your fingers again. The palm of each glove features a silicon grip to prevent your camera or phone from slipping.

The circumference around your dominant hand at the knuckles should fall within the below range:
9.5 to 10.0" (24.1 to 25.4 cm)

Men's Softshell Photo Gloves (Large, Black) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good...for the price Exceptionally convenient. I just ordered them for 1/2 price thanks to the B&H Daily special e-mail. I picked them up at the store and walked around the city for about 2 hours taking pictures with them. They kept my hands warm, except for the index fingers and thumbs, which have the removable coating. Those fingers were a little colder than the others. Would I use these in zero degree weather ? Absolutely not, but they were perfect for the mid 30's on up, which is when I will use them. Not sure why the removeable part is on the left hand as well, since you only need your right hand to shoot and press the ISO and other small buttons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The PERFECT Pair of Gloves I was hired for a job to shoot the string bands during the 2013 Mummer's Parade in Philadephia, PA. Temperatires for that day were project to be in the 20's (luckily it went up to the mid 30's). I purchased these gloves in the hope they would keep myhands relatively warm but they performed my expectations. My hands never once were cold and I was able to shoot with the gloves fcovering all fingers. The dexterity one has with these gloves is ridiculous AND you can flip back the thumb and forefinger. I want to buy a second pair of gloves to have just for general use and the other pair for just photography. Oh and the zipper pocket on the back of the left hand came in real useful when having to change out memory cards on the fly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best photography gloves I've used so far After trying several different brands of gloves that would keep my hands warm while using my dSLR and not having success, I tried these gloves from Freehands. In sub-freezing temps, they kept my hands warm. At times, my finger tips would get somewhat cold, but not numb as with the other brands I tried. The silicone grips work very well while holding the camera. More grips on the fingers would be nice. Overall, I'm impressed by these gloves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well made, but too many cons? The gloves fit well, are comfortable and feel relatively warm for the thickness. The removable fingers have magnets to keep them in place when they are removed, which (in my opinion) is nicer than velcro.A couple cons:- The fingertips that are removable seem to have a little less material in them, so I expect that they will get cold quicker than that rest of the hand.- The gloves have a coating pattern applied to the palm and fingers which looks like it's supposed to be something grippy, but it doesn't seem to grip very well. I would hate to drop my camera because of it.Overall they seem like they are well constructed and will last, but I may still return them to see if there is a different option that doesn't have the cons that I listed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Warm I'm a Camera Assistant, and use these to operate the touchscreen on the Epic. Not thin, but not excessively puffy - doesn't interfere with pulling focus. Haven't used them below 0 yet, but I have a pair of thin, knitted fingerless gloves to wear under, just in case the cold seeps through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves As a ski photographer, I needed a durable, light glove to work the camera yet keep the hands mostly warm. These work great! A little bulky to fit into an outer liner, but doable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready for cold weather photography These gloves are great for photography in cold weather. I really like the magnets used instead of the velcro to hold the finger tip covers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wasted my money! In short: I wasted my money on these glooves! They are not practical, the only good use is when I carry carry my tripod over my shoulder! I had to take them off to open my photoback back. After I folded the thumb and index finger covers back I had to take the glooves off to recover them. Also the covers don't overlap the gloove enough. For their bulky size they should be super warm, they are not. Polyester is not warm enough! I wish B&H still had the LowePro glooves I bought before, they were great, these are not!
