The x-large black Men's Softshell Photo Gloves from Freehands are designed to be used when photographing outdoors in cold weather. They feature a zippered pocket to store your memory card right on the glove for easy access while you're shooting.

When photographing in cold weather you can access your camera's small buttons by pulling back the thumb and forefinger tips of the gloves. The tips are secured in place by magnets until you are ready to cover your fingers again. The palm of each glove features a silicon grip to prevent your camera or phone from slipping.

Men's Softshell Photo Gloves (X-Large, Black) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Freehands Photo Gloves I used the gloves yesterday while photographing the Chinese Lunar New Years Parade in NYC. The gloves were great, in fact, a friend who was with me also had gloves to wear but refused to wear them because they interfered with her camera adjustments. She complained of having cold hands, and I gave her my gloves to try. She loved them! She plans on getting a pair. My recommendation is to purchase them one size larger than you think you need as they run smaller than expected. I have the XL gloves and they are snug on me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for moderately cold weather My hands get cold easily so I got these to try to solve the issue of uncovering a couple of fingers without exposing my whole hand. I've been using these near Chicago during the winter of 2015 (temps ranging from -5F to under 20F for much of January and February) and I found that the tips of my index finger and thumb remained cold. These are a thinner material than the rest of the glove to be flexible and easily removable, and provided less insulation. As soon as the weather warms up I'll give them another try. I'm hopeful that they'll do fine when the temp is above 20F.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm & functional, with drawbacks I purchased these because I needed a second set of gloves, and they happened to be on sale. To give them a proper test, I wore them as I photographed an outdoor midnight celebration of Lunar New Year in Philadelphia. It was about 15 F and breezy in late February, and I was outside for approximately 2 hours. For the most part, these gloves are very warm due to the large amounts of insulation. The grip is very good, and I never felt like I was going to drop my camera or other gear, though switching lenses was a little more clumsy than usual. However, the fingertips that can be folded back to expose your thumb and index finger do not have any insulation at all, which I find strange. I found that, with or without exposing those two fingertips to the elements, they got cold rather easily. Another thing I noticed is that, due to the thickness of these gloves, I accidentally spun the rear dial of my camera or pushed a button a few times without noticing, even with my two fingers exposed. It didn't happen often for me to want to return these gloves, but often enough that I could see this being frustrating for someone else. All in all, they're good gloves, but they are not perfect. If you have the opportunity to try them before buying, I would recommend you do so.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well made but disappointing These gloves are lined and warm except for the index finger and thumb where they're designed to peel. While the peel back feature is nice for working the controls on my camera, the fact that these fingers aren't insulated results in cold fingers in very cold weather even when these fingers are covered. Thus these gloves are useful in mildly cold weather but not the kinds of severe cold that the northeast has experienced lately. That's disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Softshell Photo Gloves I've had some time now to use them in the cold weather now and they're warm. Not as warm as my big very warm gloves but they're better suited for snowmobiling. I use my teeth to open the tips as that's easier for me. The magnetic closers are quite strong and can be a pain sometimes like picking up metal objects that I didn't want.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shooters gloves These are probably the most functional shooters gloves I own. I do a lot of winter sports shooting and have acquired several pairs of gloves over the years. These function very well and, most of the time, I just bare my thumb. I'd like to see them be a little bit warmer but, for the thickness and flexibility, they're great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right. Used these gloves for two days of fairly cold weather shooting and they were just right. They provided for a good grip on the camera and allowed shooting functions to be performed with ease. Both lefts and right gloves ? I'm a lefty ?have index finger and thumb pull-backs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gloves Great pair of gloves. The tips of the index finger and thumb fold back to allow you to work the camera dials and controls easily. The gloves kept my hands warm during my son's soccer game in 20 degree temps. They are not bulky and fit snug.
