question

This Flash can work High Speed Sync, OK, will that work for the 645z I have on order since its rated sync speed is only 125? Im sure there will be a time when that would come in handy, cant always bring my studio or E-Quadras about and those will only sync at 125 Im sure.

Yes, with that flash you can shoot HSS (high speed sync) with the Pentax 645z.

question

I know this is Wi-Fi capable but can I get a cord to use it off camera on a flash bracket?
Asked by: Michelle H.
On page 55 of the manual it shows connecting the flash via the 5 pin Pentax P-TTL cord (F5P or F5PL) with the flash connected to the Pentax hot shoe Adapter F. The flash itself does not have any sync. connectors. You can also use the $15 Vello 3 ft. off camera P-TTL cord and hot shoe. If you don't need P-TTL there are many much less expensive solutions, using both a hot shoe and some type of cable. Easiest is PC connector/cable.

question

I currently have a 645Z and was wondering if this flash needs to be in the line of sight of the camera/flash combination for this flash to work in a remote wireless operation?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes the flash must be in the range of the master flash unit. Which is why many people still prefer radio triggers. The receiver for the wireless unit is on the front of the flash. So you must have the flash set so the sensor on the front receives the light. Luckily the head rotates so turn the head to your subject and the body to your light source. It is not the best system but it does work.
