Complete your durable, rugged All Weather camera setup with the P-TTL capable AF360FGZ II Flash from Pentax which features 28 seals, including the hot shoe, that enable a reliable weather-resistant digital imaging system. This unit has a guide number of 118' at ISO 100 and 85mm along with a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 24-85mm, though the auto zoom function is compatible with smaller format Q-series mirrorless cameras, APS-C DSLRs, and medium format 645-series digital cameras. Also, with the use of a built-in diffusion panel the coverage can be extended to 20mm. Pentax AF360FGZ II reviews

AF360FGZ II Flash is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a flash for Pentax Kx I have been looking for a seemingly non-existent flash for my Pentax Kx. The older AF360FGZ flash was totally inadequate for such a price range. Everything else on the market seemed to have some sort of major design flaw. But this one has all needed features including bounce and rotation. The P-TTL feature works excellently for photographing my artwork which I use for limited edition prints. I also use this flash for weddings and parties. Additionally, I needed something which would work for a future upgrade to a newer Pentax camera. I have only owned this flash for two weeks, but it is a vast improvement over my 30 year old thyristor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small capable flash I bought this flash so I would have a TTL option when needed. I chose this one over the AF540FGZ II due to the faster recycle time. It does a good job in TTL. Exposures are correct I would say 90-95% of the time. A few things I am not thrilled about. 1. Off camera stand has no thread to attach it to a light stand. 2. No way of using an external power supply. 3. No PC sync socket It is nice and small with plenty of power. I am happy about that. I have not and will not be using the P-TTL off camera flash system due to the fact that I use manual flashes with Pocket Wizards for my strobist work. So I cannot comment on those capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much Improved This version seems to be much improved over the AF360FGZ. It even comes standard with the flash stand now which means you don't have to buy the stand as an accessory. I've not had the time to use it extensively but in my limited use I find it to be very well made. I'm well pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality. Works as expected. After having this for a year and a half with moderate use, I recommend this unit to any Pentax user. I was not a fan of flash shots based on my experience with the K3 flash but with this unit, I have had virtually perfect exposures every time. I have had no negative issues whatsoever. I have not felt the need for increased power via the 540 II flash alternative. Battery life has been excellent also. The build quality and moisture resistance just add to the experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and Weather resistant This was my first Pentax flash so I can't compare it to the previous version. I picked this one up mainly for it's weather-resistant construction to match the K-3. The learning curve on this one is very easy to get into and start using the manual settings and wireless features. It's a dramatic increase over the standard pop-up flash. My only complaint would be that it does not have an internal bounce card to extend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good flash unit for a Pentax If this were a Nikon flash it would be so-so. But in terms of what is available for modern Pentax digital cameras like the K-1 and K-3, this is a good flash. It's compact, the head bounces and swivels (unlike the previous AF360, which did not swivel) and the exposures are usually (but not always) spot-on. This is now my go-to flash for general photography with my Pentax system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Makes my indoor shots looks absolutely stunning. It also has High Speed Sync capability so you can shoot with it at extremely high shutter speeds (1/8000th/s if you want to).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice compliment to my WR DSLR package! I have only just begun playing around with the new AF360FGZ II on my equally new K-1 and can't wait to delve into the units full array of features. Initial impression is that the flash is well constructed and durable. I expect to be adding additional units, either AF360FGZ II's or the 540 as I get into some multi-flash fun. Drawback: no external power supply.
