    Just what I wanted

I use this Wacom tablet for photo editing (I use the new Affinity Photo). I have never edited with a tablet before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have been very pleased. It's plug and play. I was editing 3 minutes after getting it out of the box. Sure, there's a learning curve (still trying to figure out how to best program the four buttons), but otherwise, it's pretty much like using a pencil with two buttons on it. Affinity Photo works great with it (it's a new program so I wasn't sure), and I know the Adobe products are 100% seamless. It's small enough to fit on my small workspace, but big enough to have drawing space for what I need. I suppose if you were using it to draw or paint freehand, you may want a larger one, but for photo editing this is great. My only problem so far is probably user error. I seem unable to click and drag - so I still have my mouse nearby for those tasks. Otherwise, for the great price point, I wish I had gotten one a long time ago.

    Works fine for the price.

Learning Illustrator! The install was easy. Needed a little set-up because I have dual monitors. Now that I have used it for a while I wish I had bought a larger size.

I work as a graphic designer and I like this specific model because I can easily bring it just about anywhere with me, it's not bulky and it was all the functionality that I need. Unless a larger size is an issue for you, I don't think you will be disappointed with this product.

I recommend this product, because is very good for the price. The size of the tablet could be more wide.

    Not for me

Returned. My reaction may be purely a personal one. I find the pen-on-tablet action less reliable for photo editing than making the same moves with a mouse. Also, this specific model seems to involve an intermittent lag in response to pen motion.

    Compared To My Intuos 5 It's ...

It would be 3.5 stars but a half star isn't an option. Also, this review is based my experience with my Intros 5 large tablet. If you have no point of reference like this or the variables that effect my opinion then your experience may vary. I've used Wacom tablets for many years and always loved them. Until recently I have always worked out of my home studio/office. Lately I also work for an outside company who provided me with a dual screen mac system, etc. but no tablet. I decided to get this as a quick fill-in instead of dropping major coin for an Intros 5 pro Large. Here is what I've learned. The small tablet is great if I am using it with my 13 MacBook Air. It would also be great with a 15 macbook Pro. But using a small tablet with a desktop system with two large monitors ... bad idea. The slightest move of the pen travels a considerable space when mapped to two screens. It's doable, but takes getting used to. My real complaint about this tablet is that the pen is unusually skinny. Compared to the thicker pen on my old Intros 2 and the pen I use with my Intros 5, this is about as third as thick and uncomfortable to work with. If you have tiny, tiny, hands then it might be okay, but it's a pain to work with. For an on the go tablet for use in the field with a laptop, it rocks. So, if you're looking for a cheap way to get around having to buy an Intros 5 and thinking this will be the same ... it's not. On its own merits for what it is, however, it's fine.

    question

I have 2 more questions! The cord does not appear to look very long. I need at least3 feet of cord to reach behind my monitor & to the back of my tower. How long is thecord? Has anybody tried using the tablet wireless accessory kit ? & is it a hassle toconnect & use?
    Asked by: James P T.
The cord on the Pro version is 6' long. You could use an extension or a different cord if you need more. Never tried the wireless kit.
