The Capture Camera Clip V2 from Peak Design is a standard camera holstering system that securely holds your camera without the traditional camera strap. The system is made of up a clip and a quick release plate, which together can support up to 100 lb. The quick release plate is compatible with all Arca-type clamps. The clip can attach to any backpack strap, bag, or belt less than 3" wide. It is ideal for photographers who need their hands free and also need instant access to their camera.

To use the system, attach the quick release plate to your camera, clamp the clip around a strap or belt, and secure in place by tightening the two hand-tightened bolts. Your camera slides into the clip, locks in place, and will not detach until you push the quick release button to release it from the clip.

The CapturePro comes with a 4mm hex wrench for securely installing your plate on the camera and a microfiber pouch for storing your clip when it is not in use.

The quick release plate is compatible with any Arca-type head.
A safety lock can be activated by turning the release button, preventing accidental release and theft.
A plate locking-knob tightens down onto the plate for extra rigidity and for point-of-view video.
All parts are made of corrosion resistant and weatherproof materials.
The standard plate has dovetails on all four sides so that your camera can be mounted in the clip in any direction, making changing the lens an easy task.
There are four holes in the corners of the plate for attaching Micro Anchors for Peak Design's Leash and Cuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Camera Carry Solution This is a great product. The system is well built and secure and I am never in fear of my camera disconnecting or falling. I usually attach this system to the right shoulder strap of my backpack and hang my camera from there. When hiking, it means my camera is always nearby and ready for use. I use the system with my Samsung NX Mini (M) with NX mount adapter and NX 50-200 lens. I also use it with my Nikon D5300 with a 50-200 lens. It works well for both the mirror less body and the larger camera body alike. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to using a camera strap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not at all what I hoped. I bought two of these as a system for wedding photography instead of the Spider system and I made a mistake. These clips will be great for a smaller camera and to keep on a bag or backpack but as a hip holster system, it's pretty terrible. I have two pro Nikon bodies and use it with a variety of lenses. Forget using a telephoto lens, it's way too heavy. As the day goes on, I find myself having to readjust everything. The cameras weight pulls and the clips, no matter how tight I make them on my belt just slide down to the front of my hips. The clips themselves are a great design but often get caught and I find myself struggling to get the camera off of the clips. Also, the pinky release is great if you have bigger hands but I can never seem to reach it and end up having to use my other hand to get the clip to release. I'll be listing mine for sale and getting the spider system instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Answer to my problems Very glad I bought this. I've always struggled with either keeping my camera hanging around my neck while hiking, which was awkward and caused it to slam into trees or rocks in tough terrain, or stuffing in my pack which caused me to miss many shots (because who wants to stop and get it out). It's always ready now. It takes just a second to disengage it then clip it back in. On a recent backpacking trip I took it off hundreds of times to snap a quick pic then put it back in until the next shot appeared. It keeps the camera remarkably secure without swaying. I'm using a D3000 with the stock lens, so a DSLR, not a tiny camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great idea I like to have my camera out while backpacking/hiking, and previously had been using a system with clips attached to each of my shoulder straps with the camera hanging between them. It worked ok but bounced around against my chest. If I put this capture clip on one strap it's more secure -- the trade off is it's unbalanced (big heavy camera on just one strap). I'm not convinced there's a perfect solution to this at all. That said, I'm still giving it 5 stars because hey, it's not Peak Design's fault that I choose to have a huge camera :-) A smaller camera would work great with this too, and wouldn't be so unbalanced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but not perfect. I walked san Francisco for 4 days with a shoulder bag and this clip strapped to the shoulder bag strap using a Canon 6d with 24-105 L lens. It took some adjusting but when I got the clip settings/tensions right it SAVED MY NECK! It took all the pressure off of my neck strap but I left the neck strap around my neck incase this clip failed. It never failed but the weight of the camera transferred to my shoulder strap and I had to switch shoulders when one got sore. I would use this again. The quick release plate was a little cheap built and the paint scratched off it from the start. The quick release plate also felt like cheaper metal then the main clip and I didn't trust the plates integrity 100%. When sliding the quick release plate into the main clip it took some precision but when it snapped in you knew it. All in all I like this device and plan to keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential for on the move photography After a couple backcountry trips I grew tired of stopping to do take the camera out of my pack. After trying the capture clip I can say it has completely changed my game. Constant quick access to my camera means I can keep moving while shooting. No strap to strain my neck or sway as I walk, and best of all a very stable attachment to the camera. An indispensable system for backpacking photography.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great on Belt but not on shoulder strap Hiked Mt. Lafayette NH with it and my Sony A6300. It worked perfectly on my belt. I tried to put in on my backpack's strap like it was advertised, the strap can't hold the torque and the camera keeps hitting my chest. I want to say it's not the clip's fault, but the idea of putting on shoulder strap is impractical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep you gear close at hand I use the Capture Camera Clip on my backpack strap both by itself to keep my DSLR out of the way of my hiking staff and with the POV kit to capture camp activities when out with my Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. I have had no problems getting used to getting my DSLR in and out of the clip. The POV kit works very well with my GoPro. I've only used the POV kit with my GoPro, so I can't speak to how well it works with other cameras.
