  • TruePic VII Image Processor
  • Micro Four Thirds System
  • FAST Dual Phase- & Contrast-Detection AF
The black Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera is a compact, ergonomically designed camera featuring a 16.3 megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic VII image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD 1080p video with notable low-light quality and high-speed performance. The combination of these two technologies enables a high sensitivity range from ISO 100-25600 and also contributes to a top 1/8000 sec. shutter speed and continuous shooting up to 10 fps. The sensor also lends itself to an enhanced FAST autofocus system that utilizes dual contrast- and on-chip phase-detection focusing methods to quickly and accurately acquire focus with selectable focus areas for even greater precision.

question

Is a flash included?
Asked by: Antonio C.
Yes, it comes with a flash, although I haven't found any use for it. You can adjust the ISO so much, you can get good shots indoors with low light without a flash.

question

Is it the same Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens for $999?
Asked by: Nikolay
Yes. The camera and the lens come in their own separate boxes, not part of a kit box. Purchased separately would be $2,100 ($1099 for the EM1) so this is a fantastic deal. I purchased them this week and extremely pleased.

question

Has the rear dial issue been resolved ? I've gotten alittle gun shy about the purchase of the omd em1 . Any info much appreciated!
Asked by: Jack
Just purchased this combo. I know of the issue mentioned as well as the strap lug issue. For $99 you can pirchase an extended warranty for two extra years, total of three year warranty, from the Olumpus website, which includes a oje time free clean and check during that period. You have up to a year to purchase. I think this is good insurance and will likely purchase it myself down the road.

My hot shoe cover keeps falling off. I want to buy a spare in case I lose it. I do not see it listed under available accessories. Where can I get a spare hot shoe cover for the EM-1?
Asked by: Anonymous
I've lost mine too. I just put a strip of gaffer tape over the electrical contacts

question

What is the base ISO for Olympus EM1
Asked by: Orighomisan
The base ISO of the OM-D E-M1 is 200. If desired, there is a LOW ISO setting which can be set which yields an ISO 100 equivalent.
