VERY limited use - can not replace nibs, can not replace pen

note that in the description that it is marketed as a navigation device an NOT a drawing tablet - note that it is also marketed as a finger guesture pad and the pen is secondary - if you do not have a multi-touch touch pad on your laptop, and you REALLY need to use the multi-touch finger gestures incorporated in Windows 8 or sign your name when needed... then it may work well for you - this model's pen is not replaceable if lost and the nibs are not replaceable when worn down - this is meant to be disposable - for ten more, the next model up (Intuos Draw) is a real drawing tablet and is fantastic for beginning digital artists

I bought this for use with Avid Media Composer, I preferred the small size to the larger tablets. The stylus works ok most of the time, there are intermittent unexpected behaviors. Multi-touch function is also hit or miss, sometimes it is slow to detect a touch and there is some latency. Returned it today and going to get a large tablet.

The wireless feature is great, it makes it very portable. The pen work area is a good size. The only thing that big hands might need to get used to is the pen size. Pen pads are the only way to work on photo files. As always B&H service was great.

Bambo Pad complete loss with Mac

The Bamboo Pad when used with Mac Pro Book 2014 is a complete waste. After it failed to turn on and I called The Help Line I was told to turn it on and on again a few times. Even this is a design flaw as the power switch is almost immovable to use without industrial strength press-on nails. The usb transmitter is both difficult ti install and and get out as less than 1 cm is left to get hold of. The man at the help line said to try pulling it out 1/2 way( ie:1-3 mm) This seemed to work for about 3 seconds. All it did was move the cursor eraticly about the screen. It was otherwise useless Since then it has been a complete loss. I'm trying to decide if it's worth my time to return it. Although I can think of no reason anyone would want it back.

    Good value

I use this in my classroom at school. We have an outdated promethean board that has old pens that no longer can be replaced. Using my bamboo pad I can still write and project and I don't even have to stand in front of the board to do it. The wireless range isn't very far, but it still gives me enough space to not have to sit right on top of my computer. It takes a little getting used to since the writing space is relatively small and it is difficult to not hit the right click button while holding the pen.

Good product with good touch sensitivity.

Still working on this product. Takes getting use to it. A pen should be consistent however you have to tap it all the time to cover an area.

    question

I work with an intuos at the office and would like this pad for offsite. Can I have 2 wacom drivers on my laptop and how do I toggle between them?
    Asked by: Amy D.
You can use the two tablets on the same computer. There is no need to toggle between them, the computer will know which one is attached.

    question

is there a larger pen that is compatible with the bamboo pad wireless?
    Asked by: Anonymous
You can use a larger pen. The pen can be larger, smaller, even your finger. The smaller pen is just convenient in that it stores in pad.I found this digital pad to be very interactive and precise in its functions especially for its size. I hope this helped you in your decisions.

    question

Can the Bamboo pad be used like a mouse? Can it be used WIRED not wireless to avoid radiation exposure?
    Asked by: Anonymous
It is like a pad on a laptop so operates somewhat like a mouse. Not sure about plug in but radiation exposure has to be insignificant. I use a wireless mouse and keyboard all the time. Radiation has to be almost nonexistant.

The image shows, the pen, the tablet and the usb adapter to connect wirelessly, the tablet and a computer. If you need an eraser wile using the pen, you have to select the feature eraser in the software you're using. All the best.
